Kaohsiung Councilor Lin Zhihong hosted the 'Healthcare and Anti-Fraud Lecture' at the Erjia Community Center yesterday (26th), marking the third well-received event in Wujia this month. In addition to collaborating with local village administrations and law enforcement, this session uniquely invited renowned orthopedic specialist Dr. Lu Jun-kuan from Xingyong Hospital. Through accessible knowledge-sharing and practical exercises, the event helped senior attendees 'save their bone health and secure their golden years.'

Lin announced his commitment to increase the annual points on the Elderly Citizen Card to 15,000 and expand its usage—such as offsetting clinic registration fees—so seniors in Kaohsiung can enjoy a dignified and joyful life.

Lin also invited four village chiefs who share his vision to co-host the lecture: Huang Zhaoxiong (Erjia Village), Xie Kunzheng (Baoan Village), Guo Denglin (Furong Village), and Li Jinzhu (Nanhe Village). Attendees widely praised Lin’s dedication to organizing such events and strongly supported his proposal to increase card points and expand usage, viewing this as the most direct way to care for seniors.

Lin noted that since its launch in October 2024, the lecture series has been highly acclaimed. Even Shen Boyang, DPP’s Taipei mayoral candidate, traveled south to deliver a session. Given Taiwan’s entry into a super-aging society and the constant emergence of new fraud schemes, Lin’s team shifted in the past year to deliver 'anti-fraud and health education' messages in a more relaxed and engaging manner. This approach has received high praise from seniors, with every session fully booked and active Q&A sessions ensuring knowledge reaches the grassroots, strengthening the social safety net. This success has greatly encouraged Lin’s team, cooperating village chiefs, police, and medical staff.

Lin declared his determination to 'throw three good pitches and hit three base hits' for Fengshan. He highlighted his relentless efforts in Wujia’s development, including the robotics-themed park, the opening of Baoyang Road Bridge, the new campus of Fengxiang Junior High, the establishment of Fenglin Elementary and Junior High, and monitoring improvements to road safety and congestion around Highway No. 88. Through this lecture and the promotion of anti-fraud and health education, he emphasized that under his and Mayor Chen Qimai’s years of collaboration, Fengshan’s infrastructure has steadily improved and economic development is evident, now advancing toward a higher quality of life.

Running for re-election, Lin emphasized continuing his policy foundation to 'throw three good pitches and hit three base hits' for Fengshan. He stressed that the 'Three Goods, Three Securities' vision—safe, secure, and settled life with a good economy, good education, and good living—is the core of his campaign. He pledged to continue working with grassroots communities through high-quality events to show citizens the transformation of Fengshan from hardware to soft capabilities.

Lin reiterated his pledge to increase annual Elderly Citizen Card points to 15,000 and expand usage to include clinic registration fees, enabling seniors in Kaohsiung to live with dignity and joy. (Photo: Provided by Lin Zhihong's Office)
