As Taiwan enters a super-aged society, demand for senior living and home care continues to rise. PAMABE, a Taiwanese brand with years of experience in the maternal and infant products market, has announced its expansion into senior care with the launch of the PAMABE CARE Spine-Support Mattress. The brand is extending the materials and safety designs previously used in infant products to address elderly needs in sleep, getting in and out of bed, and household cleaning.
PAMABE notes that for some seniors, a mattress is more than just a sleep aid—edge support, heat dissipation, breathability, and ease of cleaning can significantly affect daily living and caregiving burdens. Therefore, the PAMABE CARE mattress is designed based on common scenarios in senior households, enhancing edge support, breathable structure, and washability to offer an alternative to traditional mattresses.

Enhanced Edge Support to Assist Seniors in Getting In and Out of Bed
PAMABE points out that the edges of some traditional mattresses are too soft, making it difficult for seniors to find stable support when sitting on the bed's edge and preparing to stand. The new product features a U-shaped POE three-side support frame, reinforcing stability around the mattress perimeter to provide users with a clear support point when sitting or rising.
The brand explains that the mattress adopts a zoned support concept inspired by ergonomic seating, configuring different-density support structures according to body pressure points. Pressure distribution tests are conducted to observe body support during rest. These designs primarily focus on sleep support and comfort, though actual experience may vary based on individual body types and sleeping habits.

Breathable, Washable Core Meets Home Care Needs
To address Taiwan’s hot and humid climate and the cleaning demands of elderly care, PAMABE CARE uses a POE air fiber core. The brand states that the fiber structure retains numerous air channels, facilitating heat and moisture dissipation and reducing internal mattress stuffiness.
The core is water-resistant and can be rinsed with clean water, while the outer cover is removable for cleaning. For individuals who sweat easily, require frequent sheet changes, or have special care needs, this design reduces the difficulty of deep mattress cleaning.

Customizable Firmness to Suit Diverse Sleep Habits
To accommodate differences in body type and sleep preferences, the product features soft, standard, and firm independent cores that can be customized. For double beds, the left and right sides can be configured differently, allowing each user to choose their preferred firmness level.
PAMABE emphasizes that, having long focused on maternal and infant products, safety and cleaning convenience remain top priorities in product development as it enters the elderly market. The cover has obtained textile safety certifications, and the core has undergone third-party testing, with results provided by the brand.
From infant care to aging families, PAMABE believes elderly care is not just about assisting seniors with daily tasks, but more importantly, supporting their independence through thoughtful home product design. The PAMABE CARE Spine-Support Mattress will launch on the crowdfunding platform Zeczec on July 27, officially entering the elderly sleep and home care market.
