With the opening of the Xinyi Line of the Taipei Metro at the end of June, traveling to Sanxia has become more convenient. On the 28th, the Sanxia District Farmers' Association held a press conference for the '2026 Sanxia Cool Summer Festival,' announcing that the event will take place from August 1st to 2nd in the commercial district around the Sanxia Ancestral Temple. In addition to the three cooling treasures of 'Biluochun, pear bamboo shoots, and honey,' there will also be a market, food and agriculture challenge games, and raffle activities. The event will also feature digital payment promotions using New Taipei Coin, inviting the public to take the metro to Sanxia for a relaxing summer getaway.

Sanxia District has a cool climate, pure water sources, and fertile soil, which have nurtured many excellent agricultural products. Among them, Sanxia's green bamboo shoots are tender and fragrant, known as 'pear bamboo shoots,' and this year they have won multiple awards, including the champion of the national green bamboo shoot organic and production history categories and the champion of the New Taipei Bamboo Shoot King Battle. The local tea tree variety 'Qingxin Ganzai' produces Biluochun green tea and honey-scented red tea, attracting many tea enthusiasts. Biluochun is also known as the 'LV of the green tea world.' Sanxia's honey is also famous, being a consistent winner in the national honey quality competition.

This year's Sanxia Cool Summer Festival will take place from August 1st to 2nd from 1 PM to 8:30 PM, featuring a market with 55 agricultural specialty product stalls. There will also be cooling summer items such as 'Fei Yi Fresh Lemon Green,' 'Pear Bamboo Shoot Fresh Shoots,' and 'Amber Luoshen Iced Tea.' The Sanxia District Farmers' Association has also collaborated with Longxing Tianxia Catering to launch 'Gui Bamboo Shoot Braised Pork' and 'Gui Bamboo Shoot Beef Soup,' which can be tasted at the Farmers' Association booth. Additionally, each stall will offer different promotional activities, inviting the public to discover them on-site.

Upon arrival at the venue, visitors can first complete social media likes and shares at the New Taipei Coin booth and scan the QR code to receive a limited 100 yuan New Taipei Coin for free. Consumers who meet the spending threshold can participate in daily limited edition gacha raffles and scratch-off activities, with a chance to win 'Sanxia Agricultural Specialty Product Gift Boxes' and 'Apple AirPods 4 Active Noise Cancelling Earphones.' The popular 'Parent-Child DIY Coloring Experience' will also take place at 3 PM on both days of the event, with four sessions per day, each lasting one hour and limited to 25 participants. Visitors can make reservations online in advance, and after checking in at the event site, the full deposit will be converted into a 150 yuan Sanxia Cool Summer Festival cash voucher (reservation URL: https://reurl.cc/QN62D2). Visitors who complete five food and agriculture educational challenge tasks can also take home the limited edition 2026 Sanxia Cool Summer Festival fan. With the opening of the Xinyi Line, visitors can take the Taipei Metro Ban Nan Line to Dingpu Station and transfer to the Xinyi Line, alighting at Taipei University Station (LB07) or Sanxia Station (LB06), and then walk for about 15 minutes to reach the venue.

New Taipei City Agriculture Bureau Director Chen Xiwei stated that Sanxia's agricultural products are of excellent quality and have won numerous awards. Combined with the cultural depth of the old street, indigo dyeing, and the Ancestral Temple, it is an ideal place for family travel. He welcomes the public to visit Sanxia on August 1st and 2nd for a cool summer. The city government will continue to cooperate with the Sanxia Farmers' Association and local farmers to promote various agricultural product competitions and promotional activities, becoming a supporter of farmers and citizens, working together towards the goal of 'three generations of sustainability' for New Taipei's agriculture.
