Digital services are deeply integrated into daily life! In recent years, the Taichung City Government's Department of Digital Development has actively promoted the city's transformation into a smart city. The 'Taichung Pass' app has become an indispensable digital life tool for citizens. By comprehensively integrating local partner businesses, 'Taichung Pass' launches diverse themed discount programs during major holidays and long weekends such as New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, the Mid-Taiwan Lantern Festival, Children's Day, the May Day holiday, and Mother's Day. This initiative successfully embeds smart services into citizens' consumption, travel, and daily routines, significantly expanding the scope of smart living services.

Huang Hui-Min, Director of the Taichung City Department of Digital Development, stated that to stimulate the local economy and make digital services more accessible, the department has launched a series of themed campaigns tailored to different festivals. For example, during the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day period, 'Taichung Pass' partnered with over 1,600 businesses—including restaurants, hotels, and leisure entertainment venues—to offer exclusive benefits, helping residents celebrate the holidays. During the Mid-Taiwan Lantern Festival and the 228 holiday, the app provided lantern-viewing guides and connected with surrounding commercial districts to enhance the local tourism experience for visitors across Taiwan. In April, for Children's Day, the platform transformed into a trusted companion for family outings, recommending curated family-friendly itineraries across central Taiwan. For Labor Day, the theme of relaxation encouraged citizens to refresh their minds and bodies. During Mother's Day, a heartwarming campaign was launched to pamper moms, featuring a wide range of benefits from beauty services to desserts, encouraging people to express their appreciation through action.

Director Huang emphasized that beyond offering rich discounts to consumers, the department is also focused on continuously improving the service experience. To this end, the Department of Digital Development has partnered with the Department of Public Administration at Tunghai University in an industry-academia collaboration. From the perspective of young users, campus workshops were organized to guide students in creatively reimagining the 'Taichung Pass' partner store application. This not only combines students' innovative thinking with public service practice but also injects fresh ideas into the 'Taichung Pass' app from diverse user perspectives, further optimizing the overall digital service experience.

The Department of Digital Development stressed that the 'Taichung Pass' app is not merely a digital citizen service platform but a vital gateway connecting urban consumption, tourism, and daily life needs. By integrating festival events, commercial district development, and campus collaboration, the platform continuously introduces smart services tailored to different groups, gradually cultivating citizens' reliance on and habitual use of digital life platforms. The department warmly invites residents who have not yet downloaded the app to join the 'Taichung Pass' community and experience the convenience and innovation that a smart city brings to everyday life.
