Summer's Ultimate Water Party Arrives! Chang Yao-chung Invites Families to Enjoy a 42-Meter Giant Water Slide in Lin Yuan and Da Liao

As summer vacation nears its end, family water activities are reaching new heights. Lin Yuan and Da Liao council candidate Chang Yao-chung announced that this year’s Family Water Park is making a fully upgraded comeback, launching on August 23 and August 30 at Lin Yuan Night Market and Da Liao Baogong Temple respectively. The event will feature southern Taiwan’s largest water slide—11 meters high and 42 meters long—alongside a giant water-land inflatable playground, a dedicated toddler splash zone, and a dinosaur riding experience, inviting children and adults alike to enjoy the final days of summer with refreshing fun.

Chang Yao-chung stated that last year’s inaugural Family Water Park received an enthusiastic response, with many parents expressing hope for a return. This year, not only is the event fulfilling that promise, but it has also been comprehensively upgraded to create unforgettable summer memories for children and joyful family bonding time.

The event’s highlight is the 11-meter-high, 42-meter-long giant water slide, designed for all ages to enjoy a thrilling and cooling water adventure. On-site, attendees will also find a super-sized water-land inflatable playground, a splash area for young children, and a dinosaur riding experience. Free ice cream and egg cakes will be provided, along with fun promotions such as free water guns for social media check-ins, ensuring enjoyment for visitors of all ages.

Chang Yao-chung explained that the event locations—Lin Yuan Night Market and Da Liao Baogong Temple—were specifically chosen to encourage attendees not only to participate in family activities but also to explore the night markets, savor local cuisine, and discover regional characteristics. This initiative aims to boost foot traffic in local businesses and promote tourism, showcasing the unique charm of Lin Yuan and Da Liao.

The Family Water Park will first launch at Lin Yuan Night Market on August 23 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, then move to Da Liao Baogong Temple on August 30 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Chang Yao-chung invites parents to make the most of the final summer getaway, bringing their children and friends to cool off, play, and create this summer’s most exciting and joyful memories.
