Unilever's leading home cleaning brand 'White+' in collaboration with social enterprise Impact Hub Taipei has concluded the final selection of the 'White+ Mom's Dream Brave GO' program. Chen Yu-Ting's 'From Accompanying to Leading: Rehabilitation Family Courage Picture Book' and Lee Ruo-Xiang's 'I Want to Draw a Book' emerged as the two winning teams, showcasing the results of turning life experiences into action plans. This program, started in 2020, has accumulated over 260 dream proposals, invested over 150 hours of training resources, and accompanied 45 mom dream teams on their dream-seeking journey. Continuing the spirit of 'Breaking the Frame, I Am the Master of My Dreams,' the program transforms dream-chasing into a practicable skill, helping moms turn their ideas into action steps, clearly express their self-worth, and learn to reserve time for themselves. Xiao Xi'an, the person in charge of Unilever Taiwan Hong Kong Sustainable Development and Corporate Communication Affairs, said, 'Over the past five years, although we have seen the diverse transformation of women's roles in Taiwanese society, in Asian traditional concepts, once a woman becomes a mother, her life list still focuses on her husband, children, and family, while herself is often put aside. 'White+' has been in Taiwan for over half a century, and the brand's mission has always been to break the stereotype that 'laundry is a woman's responsibility,' advocating for the division of household chores, and through this dream-fulfilling plan, unlike the injection of funds, it is more about recommending internal and external professional resources, and through a three-month empowerment program, accompanying moms to break through frameworks, get rid of stereotypes, and become better versions of themselves.' On the afternoon of the final selection, in front of the briefing at the second floor of Taipei NPO Gathering, the moms confidently stated their names and the dreams they had temporarily set aside due to caregiving, work, and daily family routines; below sat the dream-building partners, mentors, and family members who had accompanied them all the way, providing the most steadfast support. From picture book drafts, course planning to action blueprints, the results announcement showcased the efforts and growth of the moms in the nearly three-month empowerment course. On this day, they were not only seen as mothers but also as creators, proposers, and doers, standing back on their own life stage, using gentleness, firmness, and courage to write a shining transformation testimony for the fifth 'White+ Mom's Dream Brave GO.' This transformation journey began in May. Brand partner Curves Curves held a 'Fun Outing' exchange activity, allowing moms to temporarily leave the caregiving scene, refocus on their mind and body, and build peer support through mutual listening; the famous Japanese popular fashion brand GU held a confident dressing workshop, helping participants recognize their body shape and style, and practicing to step forward with a more confident posture. In terms of program implementation, design thinking, expression communication workshops, and in-depth discussions with dream mentors helped moms clarify pain points, organize proposals, and enhance the feasibility of their dreams; the famous Japanese popular fashion brand GU, Curves Curves, Women's Maze, I'm Good, You're Good! Parent-Child Good Space, Taipei Municipal Foreign Chamber of Commerce, and Fubon Cultural Foundation also jointly invested in community, knowledge, and resources, supporting moms in achieving self-realization. This year's 10 selected dream proposals cover topics such as gender equality education, women's art festivals, parent-child healing, rehabilitation companionship, environmental education, family travel, online education, emotional writing, and aromatherapy entrepreneurship. Different proposals all stem from real-life experiences and daily unmet needs. Moms turn their personal stories into picture books, courses, brands, or support systems, hoping to spread warmth and companionship to more families. I Want to Draw a Book, winner of the fifth White+ 'Mom's Dream Brave GO' program, started with over five years of early intervention companionship experience, responding to children's questions about the absence of relatives, family appearance, and ways of being loved. She hopes to create picture books on diverse family themes, catching the children's unspoken anxieties, letting more children understand that families can have different forms, and love is still complete. Another winning team, Chen Yu-Ting's 'From Accompanying to Leading: Rehabilitation Family Courage Picture Book,' transforms her daughter's rehabilitation journey from paralysis to returning to the ski slopes into 'Yao Yao's Superhero Color Cape.' She uses 'superhero training' to reduce the heaviness of the therapy, hoping to let children see their own courage and provide psychological support for rehabilitation families, and promote a more friendly medical and inclusive environment. Lu Xiaoting, who won the excellence award, found herself slowly through microwave oven creation after experiencing marital pain. She plans to integrate the content of the 'Love to Make Trouble Sally' brand and develop parent-child microwave oven workshops, using creation to accompany moms and children in sorting out their emotions, and encouraging more people to bravely break through established frameworks and explore possibilities. The end of the results announcement: Dreams begin to enter life 'What is the picture of this dream in your imagination in the future?' In the Q&A session, the reviewers most often threw out this curious question. In this year's selection criteria, 'the degree of self-breakthrough' was listed as the highest weight. The reviewers are not only concerned with whether the proposal is feasible but also want to see how moms cross over time, economy, family roles, and self-doubt. And from this year's program, it can be seen that many dreams no longer stay in self-healing but turn the moving stories derived from personal life into ways to contact people through entering clinics or schools, libraries, etc., beginning to test actual services and gradually tempering models that can operate long-term and continuously produce influence. The jury of this year's 'Mom's Dream Brave GO' support project includes Chen Ya-Hui, director of I'm Good, You're Good! Parent-Child Good Space, Zhang Wei-Xuan, co-founder and CEO of Women's Maze, Wu Yu-Xuan, executive director of Taipei Municipal Foreign Chamber of Commerce, Liu Si-Yu, manager of Unilever Taiwan's Home Care Products Group, and Zhang Shi-Ting, co-founder of Impact Hub Taipei. They all expressed their honor in becoming one of the helpers for women to break through frameworks, hoping to support moms in pursuing their dreams and being themselves, so that every woman can be the most authentic version of herself and bravely GO. The results announcement is a milestone, also symbolizing the official start of the dream journey. Li Ruo-Xiang will complete the picture book, Chen Yu-Ting will establish a trial reading and accompaniment network, and Lu Xiao-Ting will also organize the first experience workshop; other moms will also follow the suggestions of mentors and reviewers to continue promoting the implementation of the plan, letting the dream gradually become concrete actions. Motherhood and dreams are never a single-choice question. We always believe that 'true courage is not about how big you make things, but about moving forward a little bit in the desire for self-breakthrough every step of the way.' Unilever, White+, and Impact Hub Taipei will continue to provide time, methods, and support stages, accompanying moms in turning not yet mature ideas into practicable plans and becoming better versions of themselves.
