Dr. Chen Shih-Lun, a prominent dermatologist and director of Fu-Lai Clinic in Dajia District, Taichung, has passed away at the age of 47. The clinic confirmed the tragic news today (29) via its official Facebook page, announcing that it will permanently cease operations in accordance with Dr. Chen's final wishes.

Dr. Chen collapsed suddenly inside the clinic on the afternoon of the 28th. Emergency responders arrived to find him without vital signs. He was rushed to Dajia Kuang-Tian Hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Previously serving as the head of dermatology at Dajia Li General Hospital, Dr. Chen returned to his hometown last year to establish Fu-Lai Clinic and its affiliated aesthetic medical center. Reports indicate he collapsed suddenly within the clinic premises yesterday. Family members called 119 immediately, but he was already unresponsive when paramedics arrived.

The news has sent shockwaves through the local medical community and among patients. Fu-Lai Clinic stated that after careful evaluation by the family and in respect of Dr. Chen’s final wishes, the clinic will permanently close. Administrative procedures and follow-up matters for patients will be handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The family is currently focused on funeral arrangements and will announce further details regarding the clinic's closure and related timelines afterward.

Just five days before his passing, Dr. Chen posted a video on Facebook introducing local Dajia cuisine, appearing healthy and energetic. The suddenness of his death has deeply saddened many. Social media is filled with condolences: 'Rest in peace, Dr. Chen,' 'I saw him this past Monday—he looked perfectly fine, how could this happen?,' 'He was so young, it’s too sudden,' and 'I visited him for a viral wart treatment before—he was very attentive and thorough.'
