To enhance the clustering effect of local特色产业, increase employment opportunities, and provide investment space for small and medium-sized enterprises, Nantou County applied to the Ministry of Economic Affairs for the establishment of the 'Chautian Craft Industry Park.' The park's service center held its inauguration ceremony on the 30th, attended by prospective tenant companies and neighboring residents. In addition to serving as an administrative office, the center will also house community activities for Fuli Village and the Caotun Township Senior Citizens' Association, promoting neighborly relations and business support.

The ceremony began with a traditional lion dance, followed by speeches from dignitaries. County Magistrate Hsu Shu-Hua and other guests then performed a blessing ritual and unveiled the center's plaque. Magistrate Hsu stated that during her tenure as a legislator, she co-planned four major industrial parks with former Magistrate Lin Ming-Tseng. The Puli Local Characteristic Industry Micro Park, Nantou Wanglai Industrial Park, and Chautian Craft Industry Park have all been completed and await business occupancy and development. The Zhushan Nanyun Industrial Park has obtained development approval, with subsequent procedures including developer selection and private land acquisition underway.

Once developed, the Chautian Craft Park is expected to generate 1,200 jobs and an annual output value of NT$2.5 billion. Magistrate Hsu expressed gratitude to former Magistrate Lin for his contributions. The county also has ongoing plans for Wanglai Phase II, youth housing, a national sports center, and a transportation hub, aiming to enhance Nantou's economic and living functions. She extended her best wishes to the incoming enterprises for great success.

The Chautian Craft Industry Park spans 13.94 hectares, with 8.79 hectares designated for industrial use. Public facilities occupy approximately 35.7% of the park area and include a detention pond, green spaces and parks, the service center, water supply, and wastewater treatment systems. The park features a 15-meter main road and 12-meter secondary roads, with complete infrastructure suitable for industries such as wood and bamboo, metal, food manufacturing, and tourist factories.

Overall development of the park commenced on August 5, 2022, and is now 100% complete. Considering Caotun's status as a populous township in Nantou, the service center was designed as a green building with three floors: the first floor serves as a community activity space for Fuli Village, the second floor houses the Caotun Senior Citizens' Association, and the third floor is the park's administrative office. A nearby Caotun Parent-Child Sports Park has also been constructed to provide inclusive recreational space for families. Future plans include youth housing and a national sports center to enhance residential and sports environments. Park roads were opened to traffic following the inauguration. As tenant companies complete their factories, the park will connect with neighboring Nangang, Nantou Wanglai, and Zhushan industrial parks, stimulating the region's overall economy.

The four industrial parks cover a total development area of approximately 50.94 hectares. Upon full completion, they are expected to attract around 67 companies, generate an annual output of about NT$8.2 billion, and create approximately 3,600 jobs. Additionally, the county is actively planning the Jiadong Industrial Park (Wanglai Phase II) and the expansion of the Nangang New Industrial Zone. The Jiadong Park has completed its water usage plan review, while the Nangang expansion is divided into three phases. The first phase, Hexing Industrial Park, has completed its feasibility assessment, aiming to address land shortages for businesses.
