2026 Taiwan Gourmet Festival 'Taiwan Tourism Pavilion' Grand Opening on July 31: 54 Unique Brands and Four Interactive Experiences Unveiled

The 2026 Taiwan Gourmet Festival will take place from July 31 to August 3 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. In alignment with the event's theme, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (hereinafter 'Tourism Bureau') presents 'Taiwan Delicious Ways, Fermenting!' as its core concept, inviting the public to step into the 'Taiwan Tourism Pavilion' and experience the evolving local charm across Taiwan.

The Tourism Bureau states that this year's pavilion unites 54 distinctive vendors to create four exhibition zones representing Northern Taiwan and Matsu, Central Taiwan and Kinmen, Southern Taiwan and Penghu, and Eastern Taiwan. Additionally, dedicated areas for sustainability and Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendations are set up, allowing visitors to experience Taiwan's diverse flavors in one location.

For the first time, the pavilion introduces four AI-powered experiences, enabling visitors to explore their own unique taste of Taiwan through technological interaction:

- AR Slow Fermentation Experience Pod: Utilizing augmented reality and real-world integration, visitors enter a giant fermentation jar and take photos with iconic Taiwanese landmarks. - Terroir Travel Photo Studio: AI analyzes personal preferences to recommend customized travel destinations and generates personalized travel postcards. - Terroir Alchemy Pot: A fun interactive exhibit introducing sustainable tourism and circular lifestyle concepts. - Urban Perfumer: Offers representative Taiwanese scents such as tea aroma, sea breeze, and aged liquor, allowing visitors to freely blend their own signature fragrance.

On July 31, the opening day, the event specially invites the Wei Chuan Dragons cheerleading team (Dragon Beauties Xiaolongnü) to appear as the 'Terroir Cheer Squad' with energetic performances. On August 3, James, host of 'Men's Chef,' will guide visitors through the pavilion's culinary highlights. On-site, renowned chefs from the Chinese Culinary Exchange Association will demonstrate cooking using specialty ingredients from the 'Tourism Circle Awards,' showcasing the diverse flavors of Taiwanese cuisine.

Throughout the exhibition, Taiwan's beloved tourism ambassador 'OhBear Group Leader' will transform into the 'Terroir Brewmaster,' engaging in close interactions with visitors. Daily activities at the pavilion include brand promotion sessions, limited-time discounts, and gift giveaways for reaching spending thresholds.
