According to Japan's RKK Kumamoto Broadcasting, three of the seven victims were employees of a fashion group, while the remaining four included the 22-year-old female employee. Her mother revealed that the employee had sent a message saying she was safe after the earthquake, but then lost contact. A relative had encountered the employee outside and tried to persuade her to stay, but she said, 'Someone told me to put the money in the safe, so I have to go back,' and then returned to the store with a colleague before the explosion occurred, resulting in her death.

Family members expressed their grief, stating that their daughter lost her life simply because she was handling the day's revenue and deposits. They demanded that the company come forward and clarify the truth. In response to the family's statements, the company where the female employee worked declined an interview with RKK Kumamoto Broadcasting and did not provide further details about the incident.
