To respond to global industrial and economic shifts and build a sustainable smart industrial cluster, the New Taipei City Government has planned its first municipally-led 'Xindian Baogao Smart Industrial Park.' The project has achieved a major breakthrough thanks to the city's dedicated efforts. After three rounds of review by the Ministry of the Interior's Urban Planning Committee's special task force and Land Expropriation Review Panel, the master plan was officially approved at the 1106th meeting of the Ministry's Urban Planning Committee on August 4. This marks a new milestone for the integrated Phase I and Phase II expansion of the Baogao Park, demonstrating the city government's leadership in strengthening industrial foundations and driving regional economic transformation in partnership with enterprises.

New Taipei City Mayor Hou You-ih emphasized that industrial land is the cornerstone of urban competitiveness and global corporate deployment. In recent years, New Taipei has demonstrated strong execution and strategic vision by successfully transforming former cemeteries and idle public land into Xindian's most iconic industrial asset. Facing the global restructuring of high-tech supply chains, the city's leadership in planning and developing the park reflects a firm commitment to driving regional industrial transformation and deepening international linkages. The Baogao Park aims not only to attract global cutting-edge industries such as AI, smart electric vehicles, and advanced medical devices but also to integrate ecological green energy and public infrastructure, fostering both economic prosperity and environmental sustainability. This initiative positions New Taipei as a sustainable, smart technology city rooted in Taiwan with a global outlook.

The New Taipei City Department of Urban and Rural Development stated that the Baogao Park enjoys an excellent geographical location. It is adjacent to the Xindian Ronggong redevelopment zone and Yulon City, and is only about 1 kilometer from the MRT Qizhang Station and the future Y5 station of the Southern Loop Line, offering exceptional transportation convenience. Following the approval, the city will actively attract star industries such as AI, smart electric vehicles, and high-end medical devices into the 9.4-hectare site. Additionally, approximately 3 hectares of public facilities have been thoughtfully planned for local residents, including wide planned roads, three stormwater detention parks, and institutional land featuring sports venues, public parking, and social welfare facilities. This ensures the park is not only a hub for business but also a green, livable neighborhood that enhances both industrial growth and quality of life.

The New Taipei City Department of Economic Development noted that Phase I of the Xindian Baogao Park began development in 2019 and was completed and inaugurated in 2021. Designed with smart and sustainable principles, the project maintained high construction quality and standards, successfully transforming idle land into an intelligent industrial park that balances production, ecology, and living. The park features a public childcare center, green spaces, and a smart management system, and has received numerous domestic and international accolades, including the Public Construction Golden Quality Award, the National Outstanding Construction Award, and the globally recognized 'FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence' with both gold and silver awards—testaments to its world-class engineering standards. Phase I has already attracted leading domestic and international enterprises such as Foxconn, Tesla, Garmin, and Advantech, driving industrial upgrading and local employment.

To further expand development capacity, the city has launched the Phase II expansion project, with an expected investment exceeding NT$30 billion. Once both phases are fully operational across the 9.4-hectare site, the park is projected to generate an annual output value of NT$18.3 billion, encouraging high-quality enterprises to deepen their presence in New Taipei. The city government emphasized that with the master plan now approved, it will accelerate subsequent procedures to ensure the project is completed on time and to the highest quality. The Xindian Baogao Smart Industrial Park not only exemplifies the city's success in revitalizing land use and strengthening industrial capabilities but is also poised to become a powerful engine for northern Taiwan's industrial advancement. It will continue to attract international investment and create a space that harmonizes smart technology with sustainable ecology, ushering in a new era of shared prosperity between industrial growth and citizens' quality of life in New Taipei City.
