Taichung City's major construction projects have reached a new milestone! In addition to the highly anticipated 'Taichung Dome' in Beitun District, which has completed excavation and officially entered the main structural construction phase, planning for the 'Taichung Super Dome' in the Shuinan Trade and Business Park is also underway. These two large-scale venues will integrate sports events, concerts, exhibitions, and commercial functions, and will be connected via the Taichung MRT Red Line and Orange Line, significantly improving transportation convenience and driving urban development in Beitun District, the Shuinan area, and Taichung as a whole.
The dual-dome era is arriving! Construction of the Taichung Dome has begun with an expected completion in 2030, while the Shuinan 'Super Dome' will feature a 100,000-ping shopping mall and is expected to open by 2031.
The 'Taichung Dome' located in Beitun District of Taichung City is designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The venue is planned to meet international competition standards while supporting diverse performance functions.

Dual MRT Network Connection via Red and Orange Lines! Creating a Major Transportation Artery in Northern Taichung
To accommodate the influx of visitors from the two large venues, Taichung's MRT network is also being advanced:
· MRT Red Line (Chongde-Fengyuan Line) serving the Taichung Dome: The route will connect Taichung City center, Beitun, Tantz, and Fengyuan, serving the Taichung Dome, Hanshin Intercontinental Shopping Mall, and Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, and linking to Fengyuan Station, existing MRT lines, and TRA systems.
· MRT Orange Line (Taichung Airport MRT) serving the Taichung Super Dome: Approximately 29.23 kilometers long with 26 stations, starting from Taichung International Airport, passing through Daya, Shuinan Trade and Business Park, Wenchung Zhongqing, Yizhong Shopping District, Taichung Station, National Chung Hsing University, and Taichung Software Park, ending near Wufeng Provincial Assembly.
As the Blue Line, Red Line, and Orange Line MRT projects progress, a comprehensive Taichung MRT network will gradually take shape, enhancing public transportation capacity during large-scale events.
