China's space technology is rapidly catching up with the United States. According to the U.S. advisory firm OTH Intelligence Group, China's recent technological advancements may enhance the People's Liberation Army's ability to monitor and strike U.S. military forces, offering broader coverage and higher precision. Notably, progress in the BeiDou system could further extend the PLA's strike range against U.S. forces.
Clayton Swope, a senior researcher at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, stated: "The Chinese government views space as a stage for geopolitical competition, with the United States as the primary rival. China can now do many of the things the U.S. does in space."
