New Taipei mayoral candidate and legislator Su Chiao-hui continues to engage with Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) New Taipei City councilors and candidates through deep local exchanges. Since April this year, she has hosted over 40 grassroots forums and shared district development visions with citizens via a series of videos. Today (4th), Su released a new video documenting her recent forum with New Taipei City Councilors Hsu Chao-hsing, Lee Yu-tien, and council candidate Wu Sheng-han, proposing key local development directions such as increasing public childcare capacity, promoting public urban renewal in Yonghe, and building 'Sanchong 2.0'.
Su emphasized that the DPP's New Taipei team features both experienced and energetic councilors and candidates—combining seasoned local representatives with dynamic new-generation contenders—to foster cross-generational collaboration and advance New Taipei City’s progress.
At the Sanxia forum, Su praised Wu Sheng-han for his long-term commitment to local affairs, noting his achievements and policy vision. They pledged to jointly improve transportation and medical quality in Sanxia, while leveraging cultural assets like the old street, indigo dyeing, and tea culture through innovative marketing to enhance tourism competitiveness. Wu stated he will advocate for using public land to build additional public childcare centers, easing the parenting burden on young families and creating a more livable city.
At the Yonghe forum, Su reaffirmed her previously announced elderly welfare policies, including up to NT$50,000 subsidies for dentures for seniors aged 65 and above, and increasing Elder Card points to 1,000 per month with expanded usage. She stressed these policies were shaped by extensive local input and reflect real grassroots needs. Councilor Hsu expressed hope to work with Su to promote public urban renewal in Yonghe, improving living conditions and elevating urban development quality.
Regarding Sanchong’s future, Su reiterated her 'Sanchong 2.0' vision: once the Second Administrative Center is completed, accelerate the relocation of the Sanchong District Health Center to the new site, and construct the 'Third Sanchong United Hospital Medical Building' on the current premises. Additional measures include enriching library activities and expanding parking spaces to comprehensively upgrade civic life functions. She also urged voters to support Councilor Lee Yu-tien, who has served the community for 30 years, to continue securing construction resources for the district.
Su noted that through more than 40 forums, her team has continuously listened to grassroots voices. Going forward, they will integrate councilors’ and candidates’ local expertise to propose more region-specific policies and development visions, working together to build a more livable and competitive New Taipei City and lead it into a new era.
