On July 24, a shocking murder occurred in Fangliao Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan. Huang, the 56-year-old chairman of Jingyuan Tungsten—the only company in Taiwan producing the strategic material ammonium paratungstate (APT) and tungsten oxide powder—was found dead in his luxurious home. He was discovered with his hands bound behind his back using wide adhesive tape and had suffered severe head trauma, leading to his death.

More than a week after the incident, prosecutors and police have not disclosed detailed information, conducting the investigation with caution. On August 4, a male suspect was arrested in central Taiwan. While not yet officially confirmed as the perpetrator, he is currently being interrogated in Pingtung.

Huang was known for his complex social circle, including overseas business dealings and frequent visits to establishments with female companionship. This has led investigators to consider a possible romantic dispute as a motive. However, given that his company exclusively produces materials critical to national defense and high-tech industries, and the fact that surveillance cameras at the scene coincidentally malfunctioned, speculation about political or commercial conspiracy persists.

According to investigative analysis, Huang frequently visited hostess clubs and may have been entangled in complicated romantic relationships. Authorities narrowed their focus to a specific individual and arrested the suspect in another county on August 4. The case is now being treated as a homicide stemming from a personal dispute, with further interrogation and evidence collection underway in Pingtung.

Per reports from Liberty Times, the suspect is believed to be a former employee of Jingyuan Tungsten. On the day of the incident, he allegedly attempted to burglarize the home but was caught, leading to a verbal altercation that escalated into murder. Police have declined to comment, stating they will provide a formal announcement once the case is fully resolved.
