Regarding the escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, Chang Ching-i, a Taiwanese former White House correspondent, stated in an exclusive interview with Storm Media that no matter how long the conflict drags on, Iran will be able to endure. He asserted, "Even if the United States deploys ground troops, it cannot conquer Iran. The U.S. has already failed to defeat the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Houthi armed groups; therefore, defeating Iran is even more impossible." According to Chang, this war will ultimately boil down to nothing more than Donald Trump's personal resentment.
Chang Ching-i, originally from Erh-lun, Yunlin County, holds dual bachelor's degrees in Arabic and Journalism from National Chengchi University and a master's degree in International Relations from New York University. He previously worked as a reporter for Commonwealth Magazine and later served as a White House correspondent for Phoenix TV and Oriental TV, becoming the first Chinese-language media member in the over 100-year history of the White House Correspondents' Association. In January 2025, Chang was reassigned to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as a foreign correspondent.
