The Taiwan People's Party held its Central Committee meeting today (5th), the first time it has been held in Zhubei. Party Chairperson Huang Kuo-chang stated that the decision to hold the meeting in Zhubei demonstrates the party's strong commitment to Zhubei City and the greater Hsinchu region, and reaffirmed full support for Zhubei mayoral candidate Chiu Chen-yuan. He emphasized that cooperation among opposition parties must be built on a foundation of integrity, saying, 'I have always believed that Kuomintang Chairperson Cheng Li-wen will keep her promise, but I also hope that KMT legislator and Hsinchu County magistrate candidate Hsu Hsin-ying delivers on her word.'

Huang explained that bringing the Central Committee to Zhubei was a concrete action to clearly show the party's seriousness about Zhubei and its care for the broader Hsinchu region. During the meeting, Chiu Chen-yuan presented a report on Zhubei's past development, current challenges, and future vision. Huang remarked, 'What Chiu Chen-yuan spoke about is not just an election, but the future of a city.' Drawing on Chiu's solid experience in the Legislative Yuan and proven governance capabilities in Hsinchu City, Huang affirmed that Chiu is fully prepared to lead Zhubei forward.

Reflecting on the 2024 presidential election, Huang noted that the Taiwan People's Party received 38% support in Zhubei City. While expressing gratitude for public recognition, he stressed the party's responsibility to deliver a better, happier, and different Zhubei. Beyond Zhubei, candidates for county councilors and township representatives from Zhudong, XinFeng, Hukou, and Baoshan have also completed their team formations.

'The Taiwan People's Party will steadily and step-by-step implement policies and deepen services in Hsinchu County to earn greater recognition from local residents,' Huang said. Regarding electoral strategy, he emphasized that the party's commitment and responsibility to Zhubei citizens remain unchanged, and it will continue to respond to grassroots expectations through concrete actions.

On the progress of Blue-White coordination, Huang reiterated that opposition cooperation must be grounded in integrity to build mutual trust and enable solid collaboration that meets the people's expectations. He recalled that from the very first joint press conference with KMT Chairperson Cheng Li-wen, the Taiwan People's Party has shown maximum sincerity and goodwill, committing to field the strongest candidate through the best possible method to deliver the highest quality urban governance.

'I have always believed Chairperson Cheng Li-wen will keep her promise, but I also hope legislator Hsu Hsin-ying delivers on her word,' Huang stressed. The Taiwan People's Party will go all out in Zhubei, relying on the best candidate and strongest team to win public support through policy and action, aiming to make Zhubei a model city representing rational, pragmatic, and science-based urban governance.
