Century-Old Yingge Ceramics Brand Endorses Su Chiao-hui! New旺 Director: She's My Superhero, Hope She Becomes New Taipei Mayor

Su Chiao-hui, legislative councilor and mayoral candidate for New Taipei City, released a new social media video on the 6th, inviting Wu Chia-hua, brand director of Yingge’s century-old ceramics brand 'New旺 Ceramics,' to share her story. Wu recounted Su Chiao-hui’s long-standing support for the cultural industry, detailing how she helped connect resources and guidance over the years, expressing gratitude for her support in overcoming business bottlenecks. She described Su Chiao-hui as a 'superhero' in her life.

At the end of the video, Wu Chia-hua openly voiced her support: 'You must keep going—become the mayor of New Taipei City!' The campaign slogan 'A New Era, A New Mayor, Su Chiao-hui' was personally recorded by former President Tsai Ing-wen.

Located in Yingge, New Taipei City, New旺 Ceramics traces its roots back to the Hsieh Hsing Roof Tile Workshop, established in 1926, making it a century-old brand. It has been recognized with the GOOD DESIGN Best 100 Social Contribution Award. Now in its fourth generation, the brand is led by CEO Hsu Shih-kang and Brand Director Wu Chia-hua, who have driven its transformation into the 'Cocera' design brand, integrating local culture, craft innovation, and handmade values to promote Yingge’s ceramics industry.

Wu Chia-hua, calling herself a 'daughter-in-law of Yingge,' shared that she and her husband have run the brand for many years and once faced operational challenges. They sought advice from Su Chiao-hui, who not only offered guidance but also helped connect them with support resources, enabling the brand to grow. Since then, Su has personally attended events whenever needed, becoming a crucial pillar in the brand’s development.

She emphasized that Su Chiao-hui possesses an excellent team and the leadership to drive it forward, profoundly impacting her life and career over the past decade: 'She’s like a powerful superhero, always supporting me from behind.'

Wu also recalled that in 2023, despite being in the midst of childcare, she carried her child to accompany Su Chiao-hui during her legislative candidacy registration. Su’s encouragement gave her the confidence that, even as a mother, she could contribute to public affairs and society.

'I supported Chiao-hui, and I feel she, in turn, supported the life attitude I should have,' Wu said. At the end of the video, she once again expressed her blessings and support, hoping Su Chiao-hui will be elected mayor and bring new change to New Taipei City.
