Taiwan AI infrastructure company KONST (Konst Technology) held a cooperation agreement signing ceremony with SM+ Data Centers and LG Sinar Mas (LGSM) in Taipei for the SMX01 data center. The agreement was signed by Ben Chang, Co-Founder and Chairman of KONST; Herson Suindah, President Director & Group CEO of SM+ Group; and Ariawan, COO of LG Sinar Mas, representing the three parties.
Through this partnership, KONST will gain access to next-generation liquid-cooled, high-density data center capacity, establishing a Southeast Asian hub for GPU cloud services and enterprise computing solutions. This marks a significant milestone as KONST’s first expansion of computing infrastructure beyond Taiwan.
SMX01 is an AI-ready data center located in Jakarta’s central business district, developed jointly by SM+ Data Centers and LGSM. It features robust network connectivity and aims to support Indonesia and Southeast Asia’s digital economy growth through secure, scalable infrastructure.
Leveraging SMX01’s AI-ready foundation, KONST will deploy a three-layer architecture encompassing GPU infrastructure, Neo Cloud, and AI applications. By utilizing the facility’s support for high power density and liquid cooling environments, KONST will meet the rapidly growing AI computing demands across Southeast Asia.
The Jakarta hub also integrates a comprehensive partner ecosystem: GPU servers are provided by Gigabyte Technology (GIGABYTE), while Raydian Cloud—a Southeast Asia-focused AI infrastructure service provider—will handle GPU cluster deployment and operations. This collaboration combines specialized expertise to ensure service quality from installation through ongoing operation of high-density GPU clusters.
Ben Chang, Co-Founder and Chairman of KONST, stated: "Southeast Asia is one of the fastest-growing markets globally for AI computing demand, with Indonesia at its core. Our collaboration with SM+ and LGSM at SMX01 formally extends KONST’s service capabilities into the regional market, enabling us to support customers’ AI strategies locally using next-generation high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure tailored for modern AI workloads."
Herson Suindah, President Director & Group CEO of SM+ Group, said: "Our partnership with KONST represents a key milestone in advancing AI infrastructure development in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Through SMX01, co-developed with LGSM, we are delivering secure, scalable, AI-ready digital infrastructure capable of supporting next-generation AI computing. As demand for high-performance AI infrastructure accelerates, collaborations like this further solidify Indonesia’s position as a strategic hub for regional AI innovation and digital infrastructure investment."
Ariawan, COO of LG Sinar Mas, commented: "As SMX01 progresses toward full commercial operation, forming strategic partnerships with industry leaders like KONST is essential to fulfilling our commitment to building world-class AI-ready data centers. By combining LGSM’s expertise in design, construction, and operations with KONST’s proven market capabilities, we will continue setting new standards of reliability and excellence for Indonesia’s digital infrastructure."
Marcus Cheng, Founder and CEO of Raydian Cloud, added: "The operational discipline required for high-density GPU clusters differs significantly from traditional data center workloads—spanning deployment, commissioning, and Day 2 operations. We are pleased to support KONST, SM+, and LGSM at SMX01, leveraging our regional delivery capabilities to help establish a new benchmark for AI infrastructure in Indonesia."
Since its founding, KONST has focused on AI infrastructure, offering GPU data center construction, GPU cloud services, and bare-metal server leasing. The company launched its corporate headquarters in Nangang this year. This collaboration with SM+ Data Centers and LGSM enables KONST to integrate computing resources across dual hubs in Taiwan and Jakarta, providing greater deployment flexibility—from foundational compute to platform-level services—for clients in Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, and across Asia.
