The award ceremony for 'Discovering the Beauty of 13 Townships in Nantou 2026,' a centerpiece of the Guan Gong Cultural Festival hosted by Keming Temple in Zhushan Township, Nantou County, was grandly held on the 7th. The county government provided substantial subsidies, and Magistrate Hsu Shu-hua personally attended to present awards to all winning photographers. This photography exhibition, along with the concurrent 'Nantou Shuishalian Art Photographers Association Members’ Joint Exhibition,' will remain open to the public for free until August 30.

In addition to Magistrate Hsu, the ceremony was co-hosted by Yang Fei-wu, Chairman of the Keming Temple Management Committee, and Liu Xian-ren,理事长 of the Nantou Shuishalian Art Photographers Association, who organized the event. Numerous temple staff and photography enthusiasts attended, while County Councilor Tsai Meng-o and other local opinion leaders also joined to celebrate the occasion.

Magistrate Hsu highlighted that the annual celebration of Lord Guan’s birthday at Keming Temple in Zhushan has been exceptionally vibrant over recent days. She expressed gratitude to Chairman Yang Fei-wu and all temple staff for their dedication in closely integrating religious activities with local cultural initiatives. She particularly commended this year’s expanded 'Discovering the Beauty of 13 Townships in Nantou 2026' photography exhibition, made possible through county subsidies and collaboration with the Shuishalian Art Photographers Association.

Hsu noted the overwhelming response to the photo exhibition, with more than 700 entries submitted. From these, only 26 outstanding works were selected—two from each township across Nantou County—covering diverse themes such as scenic rural landscapes, dynamic moments from local events, and rich agricultural specialties. The exhibition runs until the end of August, and she encouraged the public to visit Keming Temple not only to receive Lord Guan’s blessings for safety and peace but also to enrich their appreciation of culture and aesthetics.

The 'Discovering the Beauty of 13 Townships in Nantou 2026' photography exhibition attracted 137 participants who submitted a total of 730 photographs. After rigorous judging, one winning piece from each township was selected and displayed at Keming Temple’s plaza, perfectly capturing Nantou’s unique character and local charm. Additionally, the 'Nantou Shuishalian Art Photographers Association Members’ Joint Exhibition' is being held at Keming Temple from August 1 to August 30, 2025, welcoming local residents and photography enthusiasts to visit during the exhibition period.
