What happened to SpaceX? Despite a 92% year-on-year revenue increase in Q2, its stock price has halved just over a month after going public.

SpaceX’s share price dropped from a post-IPO peak of $225.64 in June 2026 to a recent closing price of $108.27—a decline of $117.37, or 52%. This wiped out more than $225 billion in market capitalization.

Yet, its first earnings report since going public was solid: Q2 revenue reached $7.8 billion, up 92% from the same period last year. So why are investors not buying?

On another front, U.S.-Taiwan military ties appear to be deepening. Meanwhile, airline pricing remains opaque. Dawn Gilbertson, a WSJ columnist and self-proclaimed economy class expert, recently discovered even she misunderstood American Airlines’ fare rules while booking a ticket for her son.

Lastly, Balaji Srinivasan, a prominent Silicon Valley figure, attempted two years ago to build a tech hub in Johor, Malaysia, near Singapore, envisioning a new ‘digital nation’ with co-working spaces and premium gyms. Believing the U.S. was descending into anarchy, he sought to create an alternative society. However, the development site remains largely empty—now dubbed a ‘ghost town.’
