2026 CTBC Wind Cup Balance Bike Race Revs Up for Father’s Day Weekend with Over 1,000 Young Riders Competing in August

The most anticipated summer family event is back! CTBC Financial Park in Taipei’s Nangang District will host the '2026 CTBC Wind Cup Balance Bike Race' on two consecutive weekends starting August 8 (Sat). In addition to regular racing categories, this year’s event features a full upgrade with the debut of the 'Parent-Child Fun Race,' where teams of two adults and two children compete in balance bike relays and interactive cooperation missions—enabling parents not only to cheer from the sidelines but also actively join their kids in completing tasks and creating precious summer memories together.

Balance bike riding has grown increasingly popular among families in recent years. CTBC Financial Park has hosted the 'CTBC Wind Cup Balance Bike Race' for seven consecutive years, with over 6,000 participants cumulatively. This year’s event is organized by CTBC Financial Park, co-organized by the Taipei City Sports Federation Children's Balance Bike Committee, and jointly operated with Bixbi Bikes Taiwan, offering over 1,000 total participant slots. The competition includes a Main Race category for ages 2–6 and an OPEN category for ages 4–10, grouped by age to provide a fair stage for young riders of all skill levels to showcase their abilities and enjoy the fun of sports.

To ensure optimal preparation, the '2026 CTBC Wind Cup Balance Bike Race' offers warm-up activities. A 'Free Practice Day' will be held on August 1 (Sat) and 2 (Sun), opening the basic training track for competitors to familiarize themselves with the course early. Additionally, a 'Little Beginner Training Class' will be led by professional coaches who guide newcomers through foundational techniques. Through progressive instruction, children develop balance, coordination, courage, confidence, and a spirit of self-challenge.

Beyond thrilling races, CTBC Financial Park will simultaneously launch the 'WIND PARTY – Wind Sports Festival,' featuring large-scale family challenge zones. The event invites Brother Yue to perform live stage shows, along with bubble performances, balloon art, and children’s face painting, creating a summer family carnival blending sports, entertainment, and interactive experiences. During the event, customers who spend over NT$100 in a single transaction at CTBC Financial Park can exchange their receipt for a challenge card. With four checkpoints, participants collect stamps by completing each challenge and enter a lucky draw for exclusive gifts.
