2026 Ministry of Foreign Affairs Travel Incentive Launched! Register Online to Claim Up to NT$5,000 – Nationwide Eligibility

Attention travelers planning overseas trips! To encourage Taiwanese citizens to register their travel itineraries, the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is launching the 'Overseas Travel Registration Monthly Lottery' campaign. Taiwanese passport holders traveling abroad during the campaign period can register via the MOFA LINE Official Account before departure or during their trip to enter a monthly lottery for a chance to win Benefit Xpress welfare vouchers worth up to NT$5,000.

Completing the 'Overseas Travel Registration' not only grants lottery eligibility but also ensures that in the event of natural disasters or emergencies overseas, Taiwan’s overseas missions can promptly identify and assist citizens.

Campaign Details:

1. Campaign Period and Eligibility - Period: Now until December 31, 2026 - Eligibility: Taiwanese nationals with household registration in Taiwan who hold a valid Taiwan passport and complete the 'Overseas Travel Registration' via the Bureau of Consular Affairs LINE Official Account before departure or during their trip. - Note: Each individual may only claim one prize per calendar year.

2. Prize Structure - Grand Prize (2 winners): NT$5,000 Benefit Xpress voucher - Second Prize (3 winners): NT$2,000 Benefit Xpress voucher - Third Prize (5 winners): NT$1,000 Benefit Xpress voucher - Fourth Prize (5 winners): Pigeon Travel Gift Set (toiletry bag and luggage tag)

The Benefit Xpress voucher is equivalent to cash and can be used at Far Eastern Department Stores, Far Eastern SOGO, Uni-President Department Store Taipei, Taipei 101, Far Eastern Mega Mall, Carrefour, RT-Mart, Watsons, Wens Group, and 7-ELEVEN.

How to Register via LINE (3 Simple Steps): 1. Add Friend: Follow the 'Bureau of Consular Affairs, MOFA' LINE Official Account (@boca.tw) 2. Select Function: Tap 'Overseas Travel Registration' from the menu 3. Fill in Details: Enter personal information, destination, travel itinerary, and emergency contact in Taiwan. Upon submission, registration is complete and the participant is automatically entered into the next month’s lottery.

Prize Claim Process: - Winners will receive a notification via the MOFA LINE account. - Respond with full name, passport number, ID number, email, phone number, and mailing address. - Upload proof of travel: - Screenshot of e-ticket (showing name and flight details) - Passport bio-data page (showing ID number) - Entry or exit stamp from the previous month

Prizes will be mailed via Chunghwa Post to addresses in Taiwan, including outlying islands (Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu).

Tax Note: Per Taiwan’s Income Tax Act, prizes exceeding NT$1,000 require tax reporting. Winners must submit a copy of both sides of their ID card. Failure to comply results in forfeiture of the prize.
