As corporate digital transformation accelerates, digital management tools such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) have become crucial for SMEs to improve operational efficiency. This year, the Kaohsiung City Government's Youth Affairs Bureau has further optimized its 'Exhibition Subsidy' program. While maintaining the same cumulative subsidy cap per company, it has for the first time allowed eligible youth entrepreneurial teams to apply a second time, helping startups reduce exhibition costs and increase market exposure and business matchmaking opportunities.
Heng-Kai Co., Ltd., a Kaohsiung-based youth startup receiving the subsidy, is participating again in the '2026 Kaohsiung Automation Industry Expo,' showcasing ERP systems in live demonstrations to directly engage enterprise clients and capture digital transformation business opportunities.
Youth Affairs Bureau Enhances Subsidy Flexibility – Up to NT$100,000 per Company
Youth Affairs Bureau Director Lin Kai-Hsuan stated that for startups and youth entrepreneurial teams, participating in professional exhibitions is a vital channel to reach targeted customers, secure orders, and build brand awareness. Considering that youth-led ventures grow rapidly and have varying exhibition needs at different stages, the Bureau has flexibly opened a 'second application' option for qualified teams this year, without changing the total subsidy cap, enabling limited resources to achieve greater impact.
Lin emphasized that the Bureau aims to lower the barrier for youth startups entering professional markets through exhibition subsidies, enabling Kaohsiung’s young entrepreneurs not only to 'start a business' but also to 'go out, find customers, and pursue orders.' Moving forward, the Bureau will continue integrating startup mentoring, exhibition subsidies, and resource matchmaking services to support youth teams from product development all the way to market entry.
Wang Chi-Hao, CEO of Heng-Kai Co., Ltd., pointed out that many traditional enterprises have long relied on manual bookkeeping, inventory management, and cross-departmental data integration. This not only consumes significant manpower but also increases the risk of errors as data volume grows. When accounting issues arise, subsequent audits require substantial time and effort.
Wang explained that Heng-Kai focuses on ERP system agency services to provide cost-effective and user-friendly management tools that help businesses integrate operational data, reduce human errors and management costs, and enable executives to quickly grasp business performance—freeing up time for core operations.
He highlighted that the key difference between professional exhibitions and general online marketing is the ability to directly engage with targeted industry clients. Live demonstrations allow enterprises to quickly understand the tangible benefits of ERP systems. Receiving the Youth Affairs Bureau’s exhibition subsidy for the second time, Heng-Kai is returning to the Automation Industry Expo—not only to pursue potential clients but also to gather frontline industry insights and user feedback to inform future product and service improvements.
"What startup teams need most is to be seen by the market!" Wang said. For youth startups, there remains a gap between product development and market entry, and exhibition participation is a crucial step to bridge that gap. He expressed gratitude for the Youth Affairs Bureau’s tangible support, which allows the team to focus resources on product demonstrations and customer engagement, further expanding their market reach.
The Youth Affairs Bureau noted that this year’s 'Exhibition Subsidy' has introduced a new flexible mechanism: eligible youth startups can now apply a second time within the existing cap of up to NT$100,000 per company, encouraging businesses to continuously participate in professional exhibitions according to their development stage and market needs.
The Bureau encourages all Kaohsiung-based youth startups with exhibition plans to seize this opportunity. Applications and eligibility details are available now on the Youth Affairs Bureau’s official website under the 'Find Subsidies' section, positioning policy resources as a key enabler for young entrepreneurs to expand markets and connect with industry.
