Monthly Maximum 200-Point Discount for Agricultural Cooperative Consumption Elderly people holding the Elderly Care Card can receive a maximum discount of 200 points per person per month when shopping at cooperating agricultural cooperatives. The daily necessities sold by agricultural cooperatives are generally included in the subsidy range. However, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and agricultural production materials cannot be used for point discounts, while cooking sake is not subject to the alcohol restriction. The city government will continue to guide agricultural cooperatives to introduce more healthy foods and daily necessities that meet the needs of the elderly. 2. Monthly Maximum 100-Point Subsidy for Medical Expenses The Elderly Care Card will provide a monthly subsidy of 100 points for medical expenses, which can be used for the following items: Outpatient registration fees. Emergency registration fees. Partial hospital expenses. Self-paid medical items not covered by health insurance. Dental, teeth cleaning, dentures, and implant costs. Health check-up fees. Self-paid vaccine fees. 3. Compassionate Taxi Subsidy Increased to 90 Points per Ride The compassionate taxi subsidy will also be enhanced. Currently, the subsidy is 36 points or 72 points per ride, but starting in 2027, it will be increased to 90 points per ride, reducing the transportation burden for the elderly when going out for medical treatment, shopping, and participating in activities. 4. 200-Point Subsidy per Silver-Haired Muscle Course Elderly people can participate in silver-haired muscle courses at sports centers, gyms, and sports parks under the jurisdiction of the Taoyuan City Government that are currently open for Elderly Care Card subsidies. Each person can participate in a maximum of 4 courses per month, generally once a week, with a subsidy of 200 points per course.
