The "2026 New Taipei Street School" held its "Street Party" on August 8 and 9, uniting rap battles, graffiti competitions, DJ turntablism, and a hip-hop concert into a vibrant urban celebration blending music, art, and immersive experiences. Today (9th), the hip-hop concert featured seven prominent hip-hop artists—including GorDoN, BG8LOCC, Multiverse Music, Forty, Bijie, Quanzo, and O.Dkizzya—drawing massive crowds of music fans who enthusiastically participated and embraced the freedom and vitality of street culture.

The hip-hop concert, held at Fuzhong Rear Station Plaza, showcased seven acclaimed music acts. The lineup included heavyweight rappers GorDoN and BG8LOCC, rising Taiwanese hip-hop talents Multiverse Music, Forty, and Bijie—known for their standout performances on the reality show "The Rappers"—alongside next-generation rappers Quanzo and O.Dkizzya. Special guest performers included past winners of the "MADSTREET Frenzy" rap battle, 8TM and Lil Karbi aka Xiao Kabi (Hsu Chen-yu), delivering five hours of non-stop rhythm and lyrical intensity, transforming Fuzhong into the epicenter of street sound.

Zhang Qi-Yu, Director of the New Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau, stated: "New Taipei has long promoted multiculturalism, and street culture is the most authentic symbol of youth and urban vitality. It empowers young generations to express themselves and shape the city’s unique identity. Through the 'New Taipei Street School' brand, the city integrates street dance, rap, and graffiti competitions with exhibitions, performances, workshops, and creative exchanges, building a comprehensive platform for street culture development. We encourage more youth to boldly express themselves, turning the streets into dynamic spaces for cross-disciplinary exchange and sharing."

The "MADSTREET Frenzy" rap battle kicked off energetically yesterday (8th), setting a new record for registration numbers. Competing in dual tracks—Campus Division and Open Division—the event culminated in a finale performance by Golden Melody Award-winning artist Lü Shih-Hsuan, electrifying the audience. After intense rounds, MEZZO won the Open Division, while ØNE J claimed victory in the Campus Division.

Concurrently, the "Ink Pathwalkers" International Graffiti Competition, themed "Music," showcased boundary-pushing graffiti art. Eight graffiti artists from Taiwan and abroad engaged in a 48-hour live creation battle. Artist Song Jun (頌君Song) emerged as both champion and audience favorite. His vibrant works will be relocated and exhibited at Taishan Yiren Park.
