Taiwanese biotech brand Chaohe Biomedical has officially launched in Malaysia, designating the country as its first overseas base and strategic foothold for entering Southeast Asia. The brand simultaneously introduced its flagship bone health product, Weigubei, and appointed Golden Melody Award-winning singer Weng Li-You as its brand ambassador, aiming to leverage celebrity influence and product strategy to capture the regional health and wellness market.

### Malaysia as First Overseas Market to Penetrate ASEAN

Citing relevant studies, Chaohe Biomedical notes that approximately 40.9% of urban populations in Malaysia suffer from reduced bone mass, about 14% have osteoporosis, and 10% to 20% of adults are affected by knee osteoarthritis. With rising health awareness, demand for daily bone nutrition and mobility maintenance continues to grow.

Chaohe Biomedical Chairman Zhang Shuo-Wen stated that Malaysia was chosen as the first international market due to its diverse consumer base and strategic location connecting ASEAN markets. Moving forward, the company will focus on innovation, convenience, and science-backed R&D to offer consumers more daily nutritional options, gradually expanding local distribution channels and brand visibility.

### Formula Refined Through Hundreds of Tests; Plum-Flavored Jelly for On-the-Go Supplementation

Chaohe Biomedical explained that Weigubei uses the patented plant-based formula EOB686, developed after 686 rounds of formula testing and ratio adjustments. It combines traditional herbal extracts, collagen, and dairy-derived nutrients, then processes them into a convenient, ready-to-eat plum-flavored jelly, making health supplements easier to integrate into daily life.

In addition to Weigubei, Chaohe Biomedical is also launching Youlixian Probiotics and Xuejimi Beauty Powder in Malaysia. The company stated that all three products have completed the relevant regulatory procedures with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health in accordance with local regulations.

### Over One Million Boxes Sold in Taiwan; Dual-Track Strategy Targets 2027 Listing

According to Chaohe Biomedical’s data, Weigubei and Xuejimi have collectively sold over 1.2 million boxes in Taiwan, with a repurchase rate of approximately 85%. With the launch in Malaysia, the company will adopt a dual-track strategy—domestic and international—to expand its product lines and regional distribution, targeting a listing by 2027. The exact timeline will depend on operational planning and regulatory review progress.

### Weng Li-You to Boost Brand Visibility with October 2026 Concert at Genting

To promote its Malaysia launch, brand ambassador Weng Li-You will hold the 'Only You Malaysia Live Concert' at Genting Highlands on October 18, 2026. Consumers can exchange tickets through a shopping-for-tickets program by purchasing designated product bundles. Details will be announced on the brand’s official channels.

Chaohe Biomedical aims to transform health awareness into a more approachable brand experience through the cross-sector collaboration between biotechnology and entertainment, while also preparing the ground for future expansion into other ASEAN markets.
