The Han Kuang 42 exercise continues, advancing on the 10th to the phase of纵深 defense and protracted operations. To validate the peacetime-to-wartime transition mechanism, an Apache helicopter from the Army Aviation Special Operations Command conducted a dispersed deployment at the Coast Guard Administration (CGA) headquarters in Wenshan District, Taipei City. CGA Administrator Chang Chung-lung personally inspected the drill.
The CGA stated that at 10:00 a.m. on the 10th, in coordination with the Han Kuang 42 exercise, the military's Apache helicopter arrived at the CGA to conduct a 'dispersed deployment drill.' Administrator Chang was on-site to supervise. The helicopter departed at 11:30 a.m., with the takeoff and landing process completed smoothly and successfully, fully demonstrating the CGA and military's rigorous response capabilities in peacetime-to-wartime transition and tight inter-agency coordination.
The CGA noted that on the 10th, regional branches across Taiwan simultaneously carried out multiple defense drills with the military, including 'dispersed deployment drills,' 'organized position defense,' 'flank security missions,' 'maritime alert drills,' and 'assistance in establishing forward command posts,' further deepening operational synergy and combat-readiness effectiveness with the military.
The CGA emphasized that in peacetime, it safeguards maritime borders and maintains maritime law and order, while in wartime, it is legally integrated into the national defense system. Facing complex and dynamic maritime situations, the CGA will continue to cooperate with the military in executing all Han Kuang 42 exercise tasks, utilizing joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities to closely monitor activities in waters surrounding Taiwan, appropriately deploying coastal and maritime duties, and fully ensuring national sovereignty and maritime security.
