The Han Kuang 42 live-fire exercise entered its sixth day today (10th), with the Second作战区 conducting its first nighttime 'cross-zone' reinforcement mission. Forces rapidly advanced northward from Hualien to the Yilan region, validating rapid troop transfer capabilities. While previous readiness and joint defense drills had tested cross-zone reinforcement, this Han Kuang exercise mobilized two full battalions and integrated civilian resources—using large trucks and flatbeds—to enable rapid armored vehicle mobility.

Lieutenant General Qiu Zhifeng, commander of the Second作战区, accompanied the mission throughout. To maintain troop strength in Hualien, the Taitung Area Command also conducted a northward cross-zone reinforcement to Hualien yesterday, ensuring no troop vacuum in key ports and strategic areas.
