Delta held its 55th-anniversary series event, the 'Sustainable AI Summit,' inviting experts such as William D. Kissinger, former White House National Economic Council advisor, AI venture capital expert Lin Chia-Chen, and SEMI Global Chief Marketing Officer and Taiwan President Cao Shi-Lun. Industry leaders gathered to discuss energy trends and AI applications, and experienced firsthand Delta’s advanced technologies, including the 'AI Liquid Cooling Validation Center' and 'AI Containerized Data Center,' gaining insights into Delta’s technological innovations.
Focusing on Taiwan’s strategic position at the heart of the global AI supply chain, Delta integrates diverse solutions in energy, data centers, and automation to help industry partners seize opportunities brought by the AI wave while advancing sustainability transformation.
Jason Cheng, Delta’s Chairman and CEO, stated, 'As the share of renewable energy rapidly increases, electrification is an inevitable path for energy transition. The upcoming UN Climate Change Conference COP31 has set a target of achieving 35% global electrification by 2035. Not only AI data centers, but also factories, buildings, and widely used motors and HVAC systems across industries are seeing rising electricity demands. In the face of increasingly diverse and complex power supply and demand, smart microgrids capable of intelligent control will play a key role. Delta aims to leverage its core expertise in power electronics and energy management to collaborate with cross-sector partners and move forward together under the electrification trend.'
Delta Taiwan Business General Manager Chang Li-Yeh said, 'Focusing on the Taiwan market, the widespread adoption of AI will drive industrial upgrading. Building enterprise-grade data centers requires robust infrastructure, including power, cooling, and management systems. Delta provides highly integrated solutions for customers. Recently, we successfully collaborated with semiconductor manufacturers, offering end-to-end services from initial planning, design, and construction to ongoing operations and maintenance, helping build efficient and reliable AI infrastructure. Additionally, to support energy transition and smart upgrades across different industries, our Taiwan team provides energy, industrial, and building automation solutions to comprehensively empower industrial development.'
Summit guests experienced Delta’s AI technology development and application sites, including the AI Liquid Cooling Validation Center, Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center, and data center and energy infrastructure solutions. The AI Liquid Cooling Validation Center is a 1,000-ping laboratory capable of testing liquid-to-liquid (LTL) and liquid-to-air (LTA) cooling performance, with a 7MW validation capacity, establishing industry-leading liquid cooling technology. The AI Containerized Data Center supports up to 60kW of computing power within a single parking space, offering an integrated design for rapid deployment, with a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) as low as 1.19, making it a forward-looking base for Delta’s AI infrastructure. For energy infrastructure, Delta emphasizes one-stop service, with its energy storage systems monitored 24/7 in a command center to ensure uninterrupted customer site operations.
The summit also brought together industry leaders to exchange insights on the theme 'Beyond Compute: The New Race for Power, Resilience, and Sustainability in AI Data Centers.' Moderated by SEMI Global CMO and Taiwan President Cao Shi-Lun, panelists included Wei-Chuan Computer’s CTO Shen Ching-Yao, Cathay United Bank Deputy General Manager Wen Chen-Han, former Taipower Vice President and Digital Chief and Dayuan Cogeneration Chairman Wu Chin-Chung, and Delta Taiwan Business General Manager Chang Li-Yeh. From perspectives in semiconductors, electronics, energy, and finance, they discussed challenges in integrating AI into operations, such as power management, data center deployment, sustainable governance, and cross-domain collaboration, aiming to build ecosystems through industry cooperation and co-create a sustainable AI future.
