On the afternoon of April 11, a suspected unexploded bomb was discovered on Songren Road in Taipei's Xinyi District. A contractor working for the Taipei Metro was conducting excavation work on the sidewalk of a ground-level parking lot opposite No. 154 Songren Road when they unearthed a suspicious object believed to be an unexploded ordnance. Fearing for safety, personnel immediately reported the incident to military and relevant authorities.
