On the afternoon of April 11, a suspected unexploded bomb was discovered on Songren Road in Taipei's Xinyi District. A contractor working for the Taipei Metro was conducting excavation work on the sidewalk of a ground-level parking lot opposite No. 154 Songren Road when they unearthed a suspicious object believed to be an unexploded ordnance. Fearing for safety, personnel immediately reported the incident to military and relevant authorities. The site has been cordoned off, and military experts have been dispatched to assess and handle the situation. No injuries have been reported so far.
