The summer music wave is about to sweep across the Tamsui riverside! The 2026 New Taipei City River & Sea Music Festival – Tamsui session will be held on August 15 (Saturday) and 16 (Sunday), bringing together ten uniquely styled bands for energetic live performances, complemented by food stalls and mobile food trucks. Music lovers from across Taiwan are invited to gather with friends at the Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf stage to enjoy two consecutive days of riverside sunsets, summer evening breezes, and original music.

Positioned as a hub for original music energy, the Tamsui event will kick off on the first day (15th) with performances by Whoou!, a hip-hop Taiwanese-style act; BADLARRY, a punk-rock band with a rebellious anti-hero spirit; Lili Zhou Said, delivering cool-toned urban fables through mixed-vocal harmonies; P!SCO, a dance-rock band renowned for their powerful stage presence; and Crispy Band, known for their refreshing and healing musical style, closing out the night.

The second day (16th) will feature Sandwich Defeat, blending romance and resilience with folk and rock; Paranoia, infusing indigenous languages into rock soundscapes; Akashic Archives Bureau, weaving cultural imagination through unique vocal textures; Brain Body Circus, merging diverse genres with grunge rock; and Papun Band, igniting the crowd with热血 pop-punk anthems—all set to perform in rotation at the Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf stage.

A dedicated gourmet zone has been specially planned around the event site, hosting multiple themed food trucks and snack booths offering everything from international cuisine and classic mains to summer desserts and refreshing beverages. Attendees can savor handmade wood-fired pizzas grilled at high temperatures using longan charcoal, Japanese-style stir-fried noodles, aromatic aged beef burgers, and the popular boneless white ribbon fish rolls that gained attention on the show Night Market King. For sweets, options include candied hawthorns, Thai pandan cakes, Italian gelato, and egg waffles. Fashion items and lifestyle goods will also be available, creating a delightful riverside market that’s both delicious and enjoyable to explore.

Nearby businesses at Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf are also offering special summer discounts: Da Pang Fresh Seafood will offer a complimentary side dish when customers order four fresh seafood dishes (subject to on-site announcements); Nian Nian Hai Bian will offer the second cup at half price when purchasing large coffee or lattes; Bar & Bites will give one free shot per person (no group limit) to all customers during the event period; Taiwan Snacks offers a free cola with purchases over NT$300; and Fishing Village Ramen gives a free serving of fries with orders over NT$1,000. Visitors are encouraged to sway to the rhythm of the music while enjoying these local delicacies for a truly relaxing and joyful experience.

The New Taipei City Government Tourism and Transportation Bureau urges attendees to use public transportation. It is recommended to take the Taipei Metro’s Tamsui-Xinyi Line to Tamsui Station, then transfer to bus Red 26; or from Hongshulin Station, transfer to the New Taipei Metro Danhai Light Rail to Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf Station and walk. Renting YouBike 2.0 is also convenient—rent at Tamsui Station and ride along Zhongzheng Road, enjoying the scenic views all the way to the venue. Please note that on August 16 (Sunday), due to the "2026 Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf Midsummer Splendor" event, vehicle restrictions will be in effect from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and the Red 26 bus route will be adjusted starting at 4:00 PM.
