Han Kuang Exercise: 'Lay Down Your Weapons and Surrender!' Fifth Operational Area Deploys Psychological Warfare Vehicle to Undermine Enemy Morale

The Han Kuang 42 military exercise entered its seventh day today (11th), progressing into the stage of phased resistance. The Fifth Operational Area conducted anti-airborne landing drills, deploying psychological warfare loudspeaker vehicles that broadcast the message: 'You are completely surrounded by our forces. Lay down your weapons and surrender to our army.'

During today’s drills, troops simulated special operations personnel reporting enemy movements and requesting fire support. Units rapidly identified enemy special forces and airdrop coordinates, with the Fire Coordination Center immediately allocating firepower. Simultaneously, psychological warfare vehicles and CM34 wheeled infantry fighting vehicles were dispatched to the target area. This realistic training aims to sharpen combat skills, tactical application, engagement procedures, and defensive warfare concepts.

Throughout the exercise, troops first deployed surveillance drones for reconnaissance and intelligence gathering, followed by attack drones as needed. The psychological warfare vehicle coordinated with ground operations, broadcasting intimidating messages to undermine enemy morale. Subsequently, combat units advanced into the target zone using CM34 vehicles, conducting clearance operations and establishing dismounted combat formations with assigned sectors for security and search.

According to footage released by the Ministry of National Defense, the psychological warfare vehicle broadcast: 'You are completely surrounded by our forces. Lay down your weapons and surrender to our army.' Additional reports from local media include: simulated hot refueling operations allowing Army Aviation 601 Brigade’s three types of helicopters to rearm and return to combat within 15 minutes; the Information, Communications, and Electronic Warfare Command mobilizing civilian experts to strengthen protection of critical infrastructure; and reserve military police units conducting anti-airborne drills near Songshan Airport, including rooftop shooting exercises from civilian buildings.
