Amid growing corporate decarbonization trends and surging AI computing demand, Taiwan's energy transition market has achieved another milestone. Asia's low-carbon new energy integrated group, Leopard Energy (6869), held its board meeting on August 11 and released its Q2 financial report. Benefiting from the continuous expansion of green power trading and energy storage engineering, the company recorded consolidated revenue of NT$3.498 billion and operating profit of NT$109 million in the first half, a year-on-year increase of 195%, reflecting strengthened core business profitability and steady operational momentum.

According to Leopard Energy's financial report, all key financial indicators showed significant growth driven by rising corporate demand for green power and overseas project advancements. Gross profit reached NT$570 million (up 67% YoY), with consolidated gross margin improving to 16.3%, a 6.8 percentage point increase from the same period last year. Green power trading revenue reached NT$1.73 billion (up 58% YoY), accounting for 49% of total revenue. Energy storage contributed NT$817 million (23% of revenue), primarily driven by revenue recognition from Japanese energy storage projects and engineering progress in Taiwan.

Overseas markets generated approximately NT$860 million in revenue (24.6% of total), mainly from Japan, followed by engineering projects in the Philippines and Vietnam. Leopard Energy CEO Dr. Shu-Min Chao stated, 'T-Power has deepened its presence in the Japanese market, completing grid connection for 13 energy storage projects. Australia has also started contributing revenue since July. Tien-Neng Green Power has delivered over 305 million kWh of green power in the first half of this year, surpassing 70% of its 2025 annual target of 420 million kWh, solidifying its position as a leading private power retailer in Taiwan.'

Dr. Chao further noted that the group is accelerating its next-phase growth strategy by establishing 'Leopard Supercomputing' to enter the AI data center (AIDC) sector, offering AI power supply, construction, operations management, and computing power services. The company has also completed the acquisition of a 187MW solar photovoltaic asset portfolio in Taiwan from Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a BlackRock-affiliated fund, significantly expanding its renewable energy assets and green power supply capacity.

Facing urgent global supply chain demands for green power and AI computing power, Leopard Energy's strategic transformation reflects an emerging industry trend. By integrating solar PV, energy storage, green power, SOFC, and energy management capabilities, the group has extended its value chain from energy generation and storage to power sales and AI computing infrastructure. With ongoing overseas energy storage projects and steadily increasing green power delivery volumes, the two core businesses are expected to further boost group revenue and profitability in the second half, continuously building a growth portfolio that combines both electrical and computational power.
