The Financial Supervisory Commission launched the 'TISA Taiwan Individual Investment Savings Account' in July last year. One year after its launch, it has attracted approximately 220,000 accounts, with total account assets reaching NT$20 billion. Among them, over 120,000 people have chosen to open TISA accounts with Fundrich Securities, accumulating retained assets of NT$16.5 billion, indicating that this policy is gradually expanding from retirement planning to broader national financial needs.

Lin Binghui, Chairman of Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation and Fundrich Securities, stated today (the 12th) that Fundrich, as a TISA financial platform, has seen more active public participation than expected since its launch last year. In particular, the investor profile of 'TISA Good Invest' differs significantly from past retirement-focused financial programs, reflecting that TISA is attracting more young people and small-income investors to start investing earlier.

In terms of investor age, the proportion of younger investors in TISA has clearly increased. Fundrich observed that investors under 40 in 'TISA Good Invest' account for 45%, higher than the 37% in retirement programs such as 'Good Retirement' and 'Happy Retirement'. Besides fresh graduates and young working adults, many parents are also using TISA to start accumulating growth funds early for their children under 18.

This youth trend is also reflected in investors' risk tolerance. Fundrich stated that nearly 70% of TISA investors can tolerate asset fluctuations of over 15%. Compared to retirement-focused investors, younger investors have a longer time horizon before actual fund usage, giving them a time advantage in bearing higher investment volatility.

On the other hand, TISA is attracting more small-income investors, with those earning less than NT$700,000 annually now accounting for over 30%. At the same time, TISA investors show higher investment activity than those in retirement programs, with average investment fund counts and installment amounts about 1.7 to 2 times higher than retirement programs.

This indicates a shift in TISA's positioning. In the past, 'long-term investment' was often equated with retirement planning, but based on the current participant structure, TISA is increasingly becoming a tool for young people, small-income investors, and even parents to build early investment habits for their children. Investment purposes are expanding from solely retirement preparation to wealth accumulation across different life stages.

Lin Binghui pointed out that 'TISA Good Invest' aims to promote the idea that 'financial planning doesn't have to wait until old age—the earlier you start, the easier it becomes.' Through mechanisms such as expert-selected funds, investment starting from NT$1,000, zero fees, low management fees, and regular fixed-amount investing, the platform lowers the barrier to entry, making TISA not just a retirement planning tool, but a financial channel usable across all life stages from youth to retirement.

To further reduce account opening and investment barriers, Fundrich has continuously optimized its website and app interface this year and integrated with 26 banks' online banking systems and Chunghwa Post's online post office, enabling investors to complete fund account verification faster when opening a TISA account. In the future, the platform will continue to expand its features, reduce investment operation complexity, and promote long-term investing as a more widespread financial practice.
