Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Bo-Yang proposed the 'Sports Station' policy, which aims to set up storage, changing, and shower facilities at MRT stations, hiking trails, and parks. In response, NTU professor Liu Jingyi pointed out that the homeless around Longshan Temple also need such facilities and suggested adding SPAs, hot springs, and paid sponsorships to criticize Shen's policy for not considering the needs of the homeless. Shen argued that there are already free shower facilities for the homeless near Longshan Temple. Liu then criticized Shen's remarks as being based on classism and argued that the homeless should have the same right to live as ordinary people.
