The Taipei City Government Labor Bureau held the third edition of the 'Family-Friendly Employer Awards' ceremony today (14th). Fubon Financial Holding and its subsidiaries delivered outstanding performance, with Fubon Financial and Fubon Life winning consecutively for the third time in the 'Outstanding Enterprise Category,' while Taipei Fubon Bank secured its second consecutive win. Additionally, in the 'Single Outstanding Enterprise Category,' Fubon Financial, Fubon Life, and Taipei Fubon Bank were recognized in the areas of 'Economic Support and Allowance Measures,' 'Organizational Culture and Policies,' and 'Parenting and Family Support Networks and Measures,' respectively—demonstrating Fubon Group’s long-term commitment to fostering a family-friendly workplace and supporting employees’ family care needs.
Fubon Financial Chairman Tsai Ming-Hsing stated, 'Talent is Fubon’s most valued asset.' Under the Group’s four core strategies—'Low Carbon, Digital, Incentive, Impact'—the 'Incentive' strategy drives comprehensive employee family care initiatives, cultivating an inclusive and diverse work environment. Guided by the 'people-first' philosophy, Fubon has established a holistic family support system covering marriage, childbirth, and parenting, accompanying employees through key life milestones and setting a benchmark for a positive, family-friendly workplace.
Starting August 1, Fubon Financial further enhanced its employee family-friendly policies. Marriage benefits were upgraded and extended to employees’ children: NT$30,000 for employees’ own weddings, NT$60,000 if both partners work at Fubon Financial or its subsidiaries, and NT$6,000 for children’s weddings. For childbirth, a subsidy of NT$100,000 per newborn is provided, with annual childcare subsidies for children under six increased to NT$24,000. In 2025, Fubon Financial and its subsidiaries supported over 4,640 individuals with nearly NT$160 million in subsidies, welcoming over 640 'Fubon babies.' The Group also offers family-friendly leave policies exceeding legal requirements, including 10 weeks of full-salary maternity leave, 8 days of full-salary prenatal checkup leave, 8 days of full-salary paternity and prenatal checkup leave, and 3 days of full-salary family care leave—concretely demonstrating care for employees and fulfilling corporate commitments to family-friendly workplaces. Additionally, Fubon promotes an Employee Stock Ownership Trust, contributing NT$2,000 to NT$8,000 monthly based on job level, with over 90% of employees participating and annual company contributions exceeding NT$800 million, strengthening the bond between company and employees.
Fubon Life has positioned 'creating a workplace with no parenting worries' as a key sustainability strategy, with the Chairman and CEO personally championing DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) culture to foster a workplace that supports both family and career development. This enables employees to confidently start families and grow professionally at every life stage, realizing the vision of 'dare to have children, willing to raise them, and able to thrive.' To fulfill employee care commitments, Fubon Life renewed its collective labor agreement with the union in December 2025, covering all internal and external staff. The agreement increases childcare subsidies for children under six to NT$24,000 annually and incorporates the principle of good-faith bargaining, deepening labor-management trust and communication.
Furthermore, Fubon Life systematically implements family-friendly measures exceeding legal standards. For employees during pregnancy and within one year postpartum, the company provides care services, physician consultations, and hazard assessments of workplace environments to ensure the safety and health of both employees and fetuses. It also regularly organizes 'Mommy Classrooms,' inviting professional psychologists to help new parents and returning employees adjust mentally and physically. In addition, it offers enhanced childcare subsidies and leave policies, including benefits for diverse family structures such as same-sex marriages, reflecting values of inclusivity and diversity. In 2025, Fubon Life invested over NT$90 million in childbirth and childcare subsidies, supporting more than 2,000 'Fubon babies,' taking concrete actions to build an inclusive and happy workplace.
Taipei Fubon Bank is committed to comprehensive employee care, offering family-friendly leave and subsidies exceeding legal requirements. Since 2016, it has implemented the 'Female Employee Maternal Health Protection Program,' providing pregnancy and childbirth consultations, health care, and good-wishes gifts for expectant employees. The bank also regularly hosts parenting education seminars, inviting experts in pediatric medicine, parent-child relationships, and child-rearing to share knowledge, strengthening employee parenting support with professional resources and creating a family-friendly work environment.
Moreover, Taipei Fubon Bank extends happiness to every corner of society. Since 2023, it has annually mobilized employees to collect gently used school supplies, books, and toys to support the growth of indigenous children in remote areas. In 2025, it further launched a charity bazaar, uniting employee compassion and donating all proceeds to the Fubon Charity Foundation’s 'Make Friends with Love' scholarship program, helping underprivileged children pursue education with peace of mind and expanding its positive social impact.
