To demonstrate DBS Bank's deep talent bench and long-standing commitment to nurturing internal talent, the bank has announced several senior leadership appointments as follows:
Kevin Huang, currently Managing Director of DBS Bank (Taiwan), will assume the role of Managing Director of DBS Bank (Hong Kong) effective March 1, 2027.
Jimmy Lim, currently Managing Director of DBS Bank (Indonesia), will take over as Managing Director of DBS Bank (Taiwan) effective January 1, 2027.
Wee-Yang Chor, currently Group Managing Director of Corporate & Institutional Banking at DBS Bank (Singapore), overseeing multiple strategic industries, will become Managing Director of DBS Bank (Indonesia) effective December 1, 2026.
After 16 years of service, Sebastian Paredes, Head of North Asia and Chief Executive Officer of DBS Bank (Hong Kong), will retire on March 1, 2027, and transition to Senior Advisor. Mr. Paredes has led DBS Bank (Hong Kong) since September 2010 and served as Chairman of DBS Bank (China) since April 2023. He also oversaw DBS’s North Asia operations, covering Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan. Under his leadership, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) successfully executed multiple strategic transformations, solidifying its leading position in the Hong Kong market. In 2025, the bank achieved a record net profit of S$1.61 billion and was recognized by FinanceAsia as the 'Best International Bank in Hong Kong'. It also received the 'Bank of the Year' award from Bloomberg Businessweek for five consecutive years (2022–2026), earning widespread industry acclaim. Additionally, DBS’s Greater China operations outside Hong Kong performed strongly, achieving a record net profit of S$791 million in 2025.
Kevin Huang has served as Managing Director of DBS Bank (Taiwan) since 2023, successfully completing the integration of Citibank’s consumer finance business in Taiwan, making DBS the largest foreign bank in the country. Under his leadership, DBS Bank (Taiwan) achieved a record net profit of S$410 million in 2025. The bank was also honored as 'Best International Bank in Taiwan' by Euromoney for two consecutive years (2025–2026).
Mr. Huang has been with DBS Bank for over 20 years, joining in 2004 as a Management Associate. He held various senior leadership roles, including head of Group Financial Institutions, before taking charge of the Taiwan business.
Jimmy Lim has been Managing Director of DBS Bank (Indonesia) since August 2022. Since assuming the role, DBS Bank (Indonesia) has seen continuous business growth, achieving double-digit net profit growth in 2025. The bank has further strengthened its strengths in corporate and institutional banking, cemented its leadership in sustainable finance, and expanded its wealth management business. DBS Bank (Indonesia) was also named 'Best Large Corporate Digital Bank in Indonesia' by Euromoney in 2025.
Mr. Lim has over 30 years of experience at DBS Bank, with extensive expertise in corporate and institutional banking, SME banking, and consumer finance. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Group Corporate & Institutional Banking and Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking at DBS Bank (China).
Wee-Yang Chor has played a pivotal role in strengthening DBS’s Corporate & Institutional Banking, focusing on industries such as automotive, food and agriculture, metals and mining, and building deep client relationships, establishing DBS as a trusted financial partner for numerous global multinationals across Asia. In 2023, he led the establishment of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Foreign Direct Investment team to capture growing investment flows into Singapore and ASEAN. He previously served as Head of Large Corporates at DBS Bank (China) from 2013 to 2018.
