Chen Hsing-yu, daughter of former President Chen Shui-bian, has recently confirmed her divorce from orthopedic surgeon Dr. Chao Chien-ming and has been posting a series of revelations in the Google reviews of Dr. Chao's clinic. In these posts, she directly names nurse Hsu Chien-chien, accusing her of interfering in their marriage. Chen Hsing-yu claims that some of the information she possesses was personally disclosed by Hsu herself. Despite the controversy, Hsu continues to hold an important position at the clinic. Following the revelations, Hsu—previously not a public figure—has unexpectedly become a focal point of online discussion. Past court rulings involving Hsu have also been made public, revealing that she previously pursued over 40,000 NTD in medical fees on behalf of the clinic.

In her public comments, Chen Hsing-yu claims that despite Hsu publicly stating she is married, she continues to maintain a close relationship with Dr. Chao, describing their interactions as 'entangled.' However, whether Hsu was involved in the marriage or the nature of her private relationship with Dr. Chao remains based solely on Chen Hsing-yu's one-sided allegations, with no sufficient public evidence to substantiate the claims. As the incident continues to escalate, Hsu's social media accounts are now no longer publicly accessible.

Beyond the marital controversy, netizens have discovered from public court records that Hsu was previously involved in a medical fee dispute case on behalf of the clinic. The incident occurred last year, when a man surnamed Zhao accompanied an elderly relative surnamed Rao to Dr. Chao's clinic for treatment, accumulating medical fees of approximately 40,000 NTD. At checkout, the man claimed he lived nearby and needed to go home to retrieve cash. The clinic allowed him to leave, but payment was never received. Hsu subsequently contacted the man to follow up on the outstanding fees.

Patient’s family member suspected of using fraud proceeds for payment – Hsu detects anomaly and immediately reports to police

Court documents show that the man, unable to pay the medical fees, later allegedly deceived a man surnamed Kang and instructed him to transfer funds directly into the clinic’s account. Upon noticing irregularities in the source and nature of the payment, Hsu did not accept the funds but instead returned the money and reported the incident to the police, preventing the clinic from being implicated. She later handled the case on Dr. Chao’s behalf.

The man involved in the fraud case was ultimately sentenced by the court to five months in prison, with the option to pay a fine in lieu. Police officers who handled the case at the time stated that Hsu came to the station on Dr. Chao’s behalf, indicating that she had previously assisted with external clinic affairs beyond her nursing duties. Now, with Chen Hsing-yu publicly announcing her divorce and directly naming Hsu, the past case has resurfaced online. However, Dr. Chao has responded to Chen Hsing-yu’s series of accusations, stating that the claims are 'completely untrue.' As for Hsu herself, she has not yet publicly commented on the marital dispute.

According to reports from CTNS, police officers who handled the case last year still remember Hsu. They described her as having shoulder-length hair, an attractive appearance, wearing a white top and long pants when she came to the police station, clearly stating she was there on Dr. Chao’s behalf—further evidence of her past involvement in external clinic matters.

With Chen Hsing-yu now publicly naming her, Hsu’s Facebook profile has been closed to public viewing. Dr. Chao has personally responded to his ex-wife on Google Reviews, emphasizing that the allegations are 'completely untrue,' and stating that he will continue to serve patients with dedication and professionalism.
