Chen Hsing-yu, daughter of former President Chen Shui-bian, has recently drawn public attention through a series of posts on the Google review page of 'Dr. Chao's Zhaofu Spine Orthopedic Clinic.' On the night of the 13th, she once again edited her review, continuing to address property and loan disputes with her ex-husband Chao Chien-ming, stating, 'I made a mistake so severe that I feel like killing myself!' She also directly named a 'nurse Hsu,' emphasizing that the information she previously mentioned was not fabricated but derived from written content personally provided by the nurse, reigniting public discussion.

Regarding the controversial claims, Chen stated in her latest post that she was initially unaware of the information but learned it after reading material personally written by nurse Hsu. She further asserted that if Chao Chien-ming disputes the accuracy of these claims, he should hold the source accountable rather than targeting her. However, most of the current allegations and identities remain based solely on Chen's public statements, with other parties yet to issue comprehensive responses.
In addition to naming nurse Hsu, Chen reiterated details about past financial arrangements with her ex-husband. She revealed that the commercial property used for the clinic was already gifted to Chao, but the loan taken out for its purchase was never transferred and remains registered under her name. Chen clarified that she did not hand over NT$60 million in cash directly to her ex-husband, but rather that the property involves a loan of approximately NT$60 million, urging the public not to conflate the two.
Denying accusations of 'embezzling money,' Chen emphasized she does not possess the NT$60 million in cash that some assume. What truly troubles her, she said, is that while ownership of the property has been transferred to Chao, the loan liability remains tied to her, a situation she described as making her 'want to kill herself' due to the depth of her regret. She publicly warned others to carefully assess major asset decisions during marriage.
Chen also discussed post-divorce property issues, noting that real estate already gifted between spouses may not be reclaimable during subsequent property division. Drawing from her experience, she urged netizens not to repeat the same mistake. However, spousal property distribution depends on factors such as the timing of asset acquisition, nature of gifts, debt responsibility, and individual agreements, so legal outcomes must be assessed case by case. As Chen continues to update her posts, the controversy surrounding the former 'First Family' remains under public scrutiny.
