Actor Caifanxi Cai is currently immersed in filming the public television series 'Gunshot,' going to great lengths for his role—growing a beard, shaving his head, and even being described by the director as a 'mad dog.' While he portrays a wild, aggressive character on screen, off-set he’s a warm-hearted pet parent deeply devoted to his rescue dog, Amo. Having lived with Amo, adopted from Langlang Don’t Cry, for nearly four years, Cai is now joining forces with Roborock and Langlang Don’t Cry for the 'How Cute You Are' exhibition, bringing Amo 'back to his original home' to share their cohabitation journey and encourage public awareness of pet adoption and human-pet companionship.
During filming, Cai admits he must maintain intense focus and emotional intensity every day. The greatest comfort after such high-pressure days is returning home to Amo’s enthusiastic welcome. He initially thought getting a dog would simply mean having a companion, but living together revealed a complete lifestyle overhaul—furniture arrangements, daily schedules, and even return times are now dictated by Amo. 'Amo spends far more time at home than I do, so the environment must prioritize his comfort over mine,' Cai explains. This realization led him to reconfigure his home layout and furniture placement, raising his standards for cleanliness.
He now has a new definition of a 'clean home': 'When I lived alone, as long as the floor looked okay to me, it was fine. Now, if I see pet hair or paw prints from a walk, I immediately want to clean them up.' This dedication to his pet’s living environment led him to rely on technology for daily cleaning. Recently, he purchased the Roborock flagship steam mop, the F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 'Emperor of Steam Arms,' aiming to create an ideal living space where pets feel safe and owners feel at ease.
When asked about the most overwhelming aspect of living with Amo, Cai points to post-walk cleanup—washing paws, wiping down the body, and dealing with scattered paw prints. This daily chore became even more demanding because Amo suffers from separation anxiety, often drooling around the house when left alone. As a result, Cai’s first act upon returning home from filming is to grab cleaning tools and mop the entire house—doubling his cleaning time. Exhausted from work, he couldn’t rest or properly spend time with his beloved dog.
The most frustrating issue? Dried, stubborn stains. 'Drool marks or dried paw prints won’t budge with a regular mop—you have to kneel down and scrub with a cloth for ages.' That changed with the Roborock F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2. Activating the 'Ultra-High-Pressure Steam Mode' releases steam at up to 180°C and 5,000 mg per minute, quickly softening and dissolving dried stains. Cai was amazed—he no longer needs to scrub repeatedly to achieve a spotless floor.
Beyond tough stains, pet hair trapped in furniture corners is another universal pet owner’s nightmare. Cai jokes that he used to dread cleaning along walls and tight gaps, where dust and hair evade standard vacuums and require tedious manual rolling. But this model features an AI-powered instant drop-down scraper arm. When pulled backward, the arm automatically lowers, instantly reducing water streaks and scraping up 3D debris ahead—achieving 0mm edge-to-edge cleaning. Handing over the most tedious daily chores to Roborock has given Cai immense relief. He saves energy and gains more time to spend with Amo.
At the exhibition, Cai demonstrated the F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 in action, effortlessly tackling various pet messes and transforming into an elegant cleaning expert.
Cai also shared Amo’s adorable duality. At home, Amo is a 'clean-freak dog'—he refuses to enter his bed unless his paws are washed and dried after a walk. But the moment he steps outside and sees open grass, he switches to 'social butterfly mode,' rolling wildly and greeting strangers with boundless enthusiasm—completely transformed. 'Every time I see him going wild on the grass, I can’t help wondering—where did that neat-freak dog go?'
Bringing Amo 'back to his original home' for this exhibition, Cai hopes to shine a light on the futures of other adoptable pets through their shared life stories. He even submitted a photo of Amo wearing one of his movie promo T-shirts—surprisingly well-fitted, making him look both cool and mischievous, leaving Cai both laughing and touched. With cleaning chores now automated, Cai can enjoy Amo’s daily antics with a lighter heart.
Roborock aims to use intelligent cleaning technology to meet diverse household needs, extending care for homes to society’s corners. The company plans to continue公益 collaborations, turning technological convenience into tangible support for stray animals. The exhibition also invites visitors to submit photos of their pets’ daily moments, hoping this cross-sector collaboration will inspire greater public interest in adoption, allowing every 'cute' companionship story to continue warmly.
