Her lower leg was partially visible through the gap under the door. The restroom attendant noticed the situation, rushed to the scene, and immediately broke down the door. 2. The gap improves ventilation, odor control, drainage, and slip prevention

Restroom spaces are typically damp, small, and enclosed, making odors particularly unpleasant. If the door were fully sealed, the interior would become even more stuffy, and odors couldn't escape.
