However, a recent post on PTT by a netizen sparked widespread discussion, revealing that their company is considering mainland China this year, with management torn between choosing 'Hong Kong' or 'Shanghai'.

The original poster explained that their company has traditionally taken employees to Japan for the past few years. This year, however, the boss suggested trying something different and visiting mainland China, currently undecided between Shanghai and Hong Kong. If Hong Kong is chosen, Shenzhen might be included in the itinerary. The poster noted that colleagues had no strong opinions, so they turned to the online community to ask which destination would be better for an employee trip.

After the post went live, it quickly attracted a flood of responses. Surprisingly, nearly all replies favored Shanghai. In contrast, Shanghai offers a broader cityscape and more diverse cultural attractions, making it better suited for group or employee trips. It also allows visitors to witness firsthand the development of a major international Chinese city.

Shanghai, a city rich in both culture and modern development, blends skyscrapers with historic districts. Popular attractions include The Bund, Yu Garden, and Nanjing East Road. It also offers diverse tourism options such as Shanghai Disneyland and the Zhujiajiao Ancient Town. Local delicacies like xiaolongbao and shengjianbao add to its appeal, and with its convenient metro system, Shanghai has become one of the most popular destinations for Taiwanese travelers visiting mainland China in recent years.
