Executive Yuan member Chen Shih-chung criticized Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an during his speech at the 'Taipei Dentists Support Shen Po-yang Association Launch Event' today (16). Chen stated that while Chiang could be called 'handsome,' his expression appears somewhat 'distorted.' He questioned Chiang's accomplishments over the past four years, saying 'no one can answer what they are.' Specifically, he strongly criticized Chiang's claim that 'NVIDIA settling in Taipei' is an achievement, calling it 'self-promotion.'
Chen questioned, 'Did Chiang choose NVIDIA to come to Taipei, or did NVIDIA choose Taipei?' He argued that Taipei City did nothing to attract NVIDIA, emphasizing that NVIDIA's decision to come to Taiwan and Taipei reflects the strength of Taiwan's overall semiconductor industry, not the city's efforts.
In contrast, Chen praised DPP mayoral candidate Shen Po-yang as 'sincere and kind-hearted.' He noted that although Shen is well-known in national politics, he has been quietly active in municipal affairs, and his recent statements over the past two to three months have all been 'substantive.'
Chen declared, 'It's time for a change.' After giving Chiang four years, what has Taipei gained? 'It's time to replace him with Shen Po-yang,' he said, urging voters to choose someone more sincere to make Taipei run smoothly.
The event was also attended by Vice President萧美琴, Presidential Office Advisor Jiang Xiren, and Ministry of Health and Welfare Vice Minister Lin Jing-yi.
