Since the conclusion of the 2025 universal cash disbursement policy, there has been intense public interest in when the government will launch another round of cash handouts. President Lai Ching-te announced on the morning of the 17th that, with domestic economic growth forecasts being revised upward, the government has decided to allocate an additional NT$235.7 billion in expenditures. Under the premise of ensuring fiscal balance and maintaining zero net borrowing, the government plans to formally distribute a cash subsidy of NT$10,000 per person starting next year.

Before the central government’s universal cash disbursement is credited, several local governments and township offices across Taiwan have already used their own financial resources to roll out various living allowances and economic revitalization gift funds this year, with amounts ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$6,500, available to residents who meet residency requirements.

Will the NT$10,000 disbursement officially launch in 2025? The president has approved an additional NT$235.7 billion in expenditures.

Local governments, aligning with policy and fiscal planning, have successively introduced revitalization measures for residents in their jurisdictions, with disbursement methods including定点 distribution, over-the-counter cash pickup at offices, and bank transfers.
