One brand has journeyed 36 years with roses and English tea; the other has preserved a century of flavor through fine pastries. This Mid-Autumn Festival, two iconic brands born in Taichung—each having grown alongside different generations of locals—are coming together.

Marking its 36th founding anniversary, Classical Rose Garden has partnered this year with Taichung’s century-old pastry brand "Li Ji of Taichung" to launch the 2026 Mid-Autumn collaborative gift box, blending over three decades of tea culture with Li Ji’s time-honored pastry craftsmanship. Both brands have previously earned the top honor in Taichung’s Top 10 Souvenirs awards, making this year’s Mid-Autumn collaboration the most authentically Taichung-themed, culturally meaningful, and memory-rich brand partnership to date.

Founded in 1990 by artist Huang Teng-Hui, Classical Rose Garden began with inspiration from "The Little Prince" and his one unique rose. The story’s themes of love, responsibility, and dreams have remained central to the brand’s spirit throughout its journey. Thirty-six years ago, Huang launched a space on Taichung’s Art Street where people could enjoy fine tea, appreciate art and music, and admire exquisite porcelain. He introduced authentic British afternoon tea to Taiwan, transforming tea drinking from a daily habit into a refined culture of taste and aesthetics.

For decades, Classical Rose Garden has deepened its expertise in tea craftsmanship and global tea culture, establishing a comprehensive system spanning tea gardens, leaf blending, brewing methods, and quality control. Its tea products have repeatedly won international awards. In 2026, the brand was once again selected as the winner of “Taichung City’s Top 10 Souvenirs,” reaffirming that a cup of tea from Taichung continues to represent the city’s cultural essence and lifestyle aesthetics.

And now, this brand born from a book and a single rose has blossomed into a real garden. In 2025, Classical Rose Garden and founder Huang Teng-Hui fully donated the construction of the "Donghai University Little Prince Rose Garden," planting over 20,000 rose bushes. They transformed the spirit of love, responsibility, and dreams from "The Little Prince" into a public garden that integrates nature, aesthetics, education, and sustainability. For Classical Rose Garden, the rose is more than a brand symbol—it is a lasting commitment to the land, culture, and future generations.

Inspired by "The Little Prince" and his one unique rose, Classical Rose Garden is celebrating its 36th anniversary with special events from August 21 to 23.

This year marks a milestone 36th anniversary for Classical Rose Garden, giving the Mid-Autumn Festival deeper significance. The choice to partner with Li Ji of Taichung stems from both brands’ shared roots in Taichung and their parallel dedication—each in their own way—to preserving the taste of the city across generations.

While Li Ji of Taichung is renowned for its traditional pastry techniques, Classical Rose Garden has long cultivated tea culture and lifestyle aesthetics. Together, under the theme "Tea Aroma Under the Moon: A Century-Long Encounter," they co-created the Mid-Autumn collaborative gift box, creating a new dialogue between traditional mooncakes and modern tea culture.

Classical Rose Garden teams up with Li Ji of Taichung to unveil the 2026 Mid-Autumn Collaborative Gift Box.

To celebrate its 36th anniversary, Classical Rose Garden will host a limited-time anniversary event from August 21 to 23, offering a 20% discount on all store items (excluding dining items). Additionally, rose petal tea, premium rose oolong, rose series teas, rose masks, rose enzymes, and rose essential oils will be available in a “buy two, get one free” promotion, inviting customers to experience the brand’s 36 years of tea aroma, art, and lifestyle aesthetics.
