New Odd-Lot Trading Rules to Take Effect on December 7! Simultaneous Opening at 9 AM, Investors Must Pay Attention to These Matters

To continuously improve the odd-lot trading system, the Taiwan Stock Exchange announced that starting from December 7, 2026, the odd-lot trading order start time will be advanced from 9 AM to 8:30 AM, and the opening time will be advanced from the current 9:10 AM to 9 AM, synchronized with the whole-lot market. This allows investors to participate in odd-lot trading from the opening of the Taiwan stock market. The main purpose of this adjustment is to improve the convenience and market operating efficiency of odd-lot trading. However, the Taiwan Stock Exchange will also introduce pre-opening information disclosure and delayed opening mechanisms to allow investors to grasp the market's buying and selling demand before the official opening and maintain the price discovery function and trading order of the odd-lot market.
