TWICE's Nayeon Draws 36,000 to Taipei Dome, Debuts Full Version of 'MEEEEEE' in Electrifying Solo Performance

South Korean girl group TWICE's member Nayeon appeared at Taipei Dome on the 29th as a special guest for the Rakuten Monkeys' 'SINGDOME Music Radio' theme day. She not only performed the ceremonial first pitch before the game but also delivered a solo performance after the match. Her star power was immediately reflected in ticket sales, with 36,625 spectators attending—surpassing the 36,238 fans who attended the Wei Chuan Dragons vs. Rakuten Monkeys game on August 16. This marked the fourth-highest attendance for a single CPBL regular-season game this season, trailing only three 40,000-capacity sellouts.

After the game, thousands of ONCEs (TWICE fans) remained in their seats, eagerly awaiting Nayeon's appearance. As she stepped onto the stage, the Taipei Dome erupted in cheers. She opened with her hit 'POP!' to ignite the crowd, followed by 'Something' and 'Magic,' performing three songs in a row before pausing for a drink. She asked the audience if they were having fun, receiving a thunderous response. Seeing the sea of fans below, she joyfully asked, 'Are these our ONCEs?'—prompting another wave of screams.

Although Nayeon had previously performed at Taipei Dome with TWICE, this was her first solo appearance on the massive stage. She admitted that while she had always been accompanied by the other eight members before (though Dahyun was absent due to injury), performing alone made her extremely nervous beforehand. Nevertheless, she prepared exclusive content for the Rakuten Monkeys' theme day and even asked fans which songs they wanted to hear. Tens of thousands shouted song titles at once, making her laugh as she admitted she couldn’t hear anything—delighting the crowd.

Then came the biggest surprise: the fourth song, 'CANDYFLOSS,' was performed in a special version, and the fifth, 'MEEEEEE,' marked its world premiere in full. After the performance, Nayeon excitedly asked the audience in Chinese, 'Was it good?' 'Was I beautiful?' 'Is it okay?'—each met with roaring cheers. She revealed that although she had performed 'MEEEEEE' on her world tour over the past year, she had never fully unveiled the complete version. 'I wanted to start with this Rakuten Monkeys stage and hope to perform the full version more often in the future,' she said.

She closed with the fan-favorite 'ABCD,' thanking Taiwanese fans for their enthusiastic welcome and inviting them to celebrate with her until the very end. In a playful moment, when she asked what song they wanted to hear, the crowd unanimously shouted 'I'm Gonna Be a Star,' but she pretended not to hear—amusing many.

The entire setlist included six songs: 'POP!,' 'Something,' 'Magic,' 'CANDYFLOSS,' 'MEEEEEE,' and 'ABCD.' Despite missing her TWICE members, Nayeon single-handedly energized the 36,625-strong audience, transforming a CPBL game into a massive K-pop concert.
