The 'Jingdu Loves You Walkathon Carnival,' hosted by Jingdu Construction and the Jingdu Loves You Charity Foundation, was successfully held at Shimen Reservoir in Taoyuan, creating a vibrant event centered on health, public welfare, family engagement, and local co-prosperity. With co-organization by the Taoyuan City Government's Tourism and Travel Bureau, Sports Bureau, and the Taoyuan City Tourism Development Foundation, the event invited members of the Jingdu Loves You family, corporate partners, and the general public to experience Taoyuan's natural landscapes through walking. The day featured stage performances, interactive family activities, a local specialty market, and lucky draw events, transforming it into a comprehensive carnival blending health, leisure, family entertainment, and local tourism.
The opening ceremony was attended by Huang Guo-Ming, Chairman of Jingdu Construction (6th from left), Chen Jing-Fang, Director of the Taoyuan City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau (5th from right), Hsu Yan-Hui, Director of the Sports Bureau (4th from right), and other local officials.
Jingdu Construction has been deeply rooted in Taoyuan for 27 years. Beyond its core business in construction, the company is committed to social responsibility through the 'Jingdu Loves You' series, extending care for people, families, and cities into everyday life. By choosing Shimen Reservoir as the venue, the event not only promotes healthy lifestyles but also aims to boost local tourism and consumption by attracting large crowds.
Chen Jing-Fang, Director of the Tourism and Travel Bureau, expressed that Taoyuan boasts exceptional natural scenery and well-developed recreational facilities, making it an ideal destination for corporate employee trips, wellness walks, and leisure activities. She emphasized that public-private collaboration not only fulfills corporate social responsibility and enhances employee well-being but also effectively stimulates local economic growth. She commended Jingdu Construction for integrating local vendors—such as Shimen live fish sellers, souvenir shops, and观光 factories—into the event market and distributing consumption vouchers to convert foot traffic into tangible economic benefits for local businesses. This approach allows participants to discover Taoyuan’s unique products while creating new business opportunities for the region.
The event market showcased local specialties, enabling direct engagement between visitors and Taoyuan’s cultural and economic offerings. Jingdu Construction emphasized that corporate social responsibility should not be one-way giving but a collaborative cycle where 'companies host events, the public participates, and local communities benefit.'
Looking ahead, Jingdu Construction will continue expanding the 'Jingdu Loves You' series beyond construction into health, sports, family activities, charity, and community co-prosperity. Through concrete actions, the company aims to deepen its connection with Taoyuan, making 'love' a participatory, tangible, and enduring brand presence in the city.
