The Mid-Autumn Festival holiday has officially begun, and the weather across Taiwan is generally stable! The Central Weather Bureau states that until the end of September, most of Taiwan will experience mostly cloudy to sunny good weather. On the Mid-Autumn Festival day tomorrow, in addition to localized brief showers in the north, east, and southern regions in the afternoon, rain will significantly decrease from the weekend. Additionally, the light typhoon 'Shuligji' is expected to turn north over the weekend, remaining about 500km away from Taiwan, with no direct impact.

From the holiday weekend to the end of September (Saturday to next Wednesday), the weather will be stable, with only brief localized showers in the mountains in the afternoon, and rainfall across Taiwan will significantly decrease.

On Thursday of next week (change to rain), the northeast monsoon will strengthen, increasing the probability of rain in northern regions and the east, turning into weather with brief localized showers, with afternoon showers also expected in mountainous areas across the island.

Temperature changes for the coming week CWB forecaster Lai Hsin-Kuo pointed out that there will be no significant temperature changes across Taiwan in the coming week. During the holiday period, daytime highs in the north and Yilan will be around 29-30°C; other regions will be in the 32-34°C range, with inland areas possibly reaching 35°C.

Nighttime lows in the north and Yilan will be around 22-24°C; other regions will be in the 24-26°C range, with more comfortable temperatures in the early morning and evening.

Latest updates on Typhoon 'Shuligji' Regarding typhoon dynamics, forecaster Lai Hsin-Kuo stated that the light typhoon 'Shuligji' will continue moving in a west-northwest direction over the next two days, expected to turn north on Saturday, then turn northeast on Sunday, passing south of the Ryukyu Islands, and heading toward the waters south of Japan.

Shuligji's strength is expected to reach the upper limit of a light tropical storm, with a chance to intensify into a moderate typhoon on Sunday. Due to its small wind radius, it will remain over 500km away from Taiwan at its closest approach, with no direct impact on the island.

During the weekend, there is a chance of long waves occurring along the eastern coast and the Hengchun Peninsula, and those engaging in coastal activities or wave watching are advised to take safety precautions. After entering October, there is a possibility of a new tropical system developing near Guam, but as it is still far in the future with many variables, the CWB will continue to closely monitor the situation.
